Luv my 08. Bought it in 09. Also have considered the bigger oil tank, but just run it on the street for now, so probably not necessary for me. Looked at 07's when I was shopping and drove a nice one in Atlanta but I really liked the carbon fiber center stack console and apparently the 08 has a few upgrades in the drivetrain. Hard not to like them all !

2020 C5 of the Year Finalist - Unmodified
2011 Z07 with CFZ - best exhaust, best brakes, comp gray ZR1 wheels, tires, larger radiator, exterior oil cooler, 3LZ interior is all leather, don't like the suede inserts, steering wheel, etc. on the Carbon, IMO, but then again I am very biased...see my avatar

08 here, wanted the chrome wheels, and the TR6060 tranny so was looking for an 08 or 09 as it was also my price range........that and Victory Red. Do like the Torch red too from 2010+

Gets you in the door for the least amount and they have the early wheels that are the lightest/look the best IMO.
Want a bigger oil tank? It cost $300 to get a kick out welded on by lingenfelter.

I really like my 06. They are the lightest and most agressively tuned from the factory. They can also be purchased for the least. Alot of bang for the buck. It's the one I wanted when I was looking 3 1/2 years ago. Found mine with 2,500 miles on it. It has 19,000 trouble free miles on it and I still haven't wiped the grin off my face

Burning Brakes
I love the Carbons interior and classy subtle touches. Plus it adds the carbon fiber hood to the 11 Z07 package, with two hi flow cats instead of four like 12-13
