New PB 10.31 @136mph 1/4 mile N/A all motor C6Z06!!
So finally after two months of waiting, finally got to test out the C6Z with the new Heads/cam setup yesterday! Special thanks to Kyle Lemish for inviting me to MIR for a private rental and his launching tips/ moral support. Also would like to thank Monster clutch for giving me one bad *** clutch! Didn't skip a beat out there yesterday, even at a 5k RPM launch!!! I went from cutting 1.9 60's to 1.56 60's with some practice/seat time in about 30 or so passes. Started off with a 11.18 @133 and worked my way down to a 10.31 @136 with driver mod applications lol. It was the last pass for me where everything fell into place. I had just cut a 1.6 60' time and ran a 10.38 @136. Soon as saw my slip I was stoked. Previous run before that was a 10.65 @135 with a mediocre 1.78 60'. So I waited about 15-20 min for everything to cool down and fired her back up! Did a nice burnout, really cooked em up and roared forward. (Also another thanks to Jason at MIR for laying down fresh prep about 5 passes prior!). I scooted over to the far left and really got into the sticky groove. Lit up the stage lights and the lights came down. It was green but I was sitting there, focusing on how I am going to row thru these gears. One deep breath, revved and held at 5K RPM, fast release of the clutch (not dump) and BOOM! SHOT outta the hole like a rocket and slammed into 2nd, no wiggle of the hips no drama just straight grip! Looked up at the scoreboard and saw a 60' time of 1.56. At that point I was so excited and was telling myself (you better not **** up and miss a gear). I slammed into 3rd and pulled back as fast I could into 4th and both hands on the wheel, looked down at the speedo and saw it almost touch 140mph as I crossed the 1320 stripe! At this exact same time I was screaming with joy!! I didn't let out the gas until like 150mph I was so pumped! Came back up the staging lines where the rest of the crew was and got greeted with excitement! You know you ran a good time when everyone is jumping up and down and walking up to you with the time slip! I was thrilled, set a new PB! I know I went pretty long with this thread but I just had to share my experience and try to make you guys feel it from my POV.
Last but not least, would like to thank that one guy, what's his name Fartpipe or fartypipe that drives a GTR aka Bruce for saying he was gonna come down to MIR and smack me if I didn't get a 10.5 or lower.. kinda motivated me! Lol

Great job, I drove my Avalanche up to witness this event. I left too early and missed the new personal best. I have to give Erman credit, he stayed with it and as the afternoon played out his times keep improving. He has one bad *** ride!!

Congrats. Nice passes.
I would not worry about Bruce too much. His bark is worse than his bite.
Glad to see that the rental was a success. Jason does provide good prep at his facility.
Since the temps were generally on the cold side, how was traction? You had a very good 60' for your setup. Was anybody cutting 1.3s and how were the conditions down track?

Haha, now he's gonna come get ya! Lololol
In the morning time frame, it kind of sucked, most RWD spun on launches. The track really got better around noon where Kyle cut his own PB of 1.50 60'. There was a GTR that cut a 1.4x 60' but no one in the 1.3s. I was thankful to cut in the 1.5s!!!
According to drag times, DA was at -1800ish during my best pass. Sun was out too shining heating the track up and I made the pass just before the clouds came to cover it. Track was prepped to the 330' mark. Traction wasn't a issue past it for me or Kyle but some mustangs got a little squirley LOL

Well I didn't dump the clutch. It was just a fast clutch release. The monster stage 3 is almost like a light switch, it doesn't like to be slipped much. Sumbish just grabs and goes!
