C7 vs c6 z06
So has anybody been to a Mexican road yet in their z06 and encountered a C7 ?

We had several C7's at the track, when our club rented it last spring. It was a drivers race between the C6's, so they do not really want to tangle with a Z.

I had a VERRRRRY confident C7 owner hunt me down and tell me "if you can get your back bumper in front my front bumper, I'll pay for your Expel you want on the front of your car". He also thought I didn't notice the two solenoids adorning each side of the manifold. I was not able to get my back bumper in front of his front bumper. That's only because I was 7-8 car lengths ahead of him. 3 times. And the 3rd time I gave him 2 and the move. My car is being dropped off Monday for Expel treatment. Winning.

Although weighing more the C7 may actually corner faster than the C6Z. Given a torque curve that matches the Z's up to 4K rpm that may be just enough difference to help it win the drag race down the next straight. As you know a drag race is won at the start and starting at a faster speed and being able to get on the throttle sooner usually trumps a lot more HP that doesn't come on until near the end of the straight. Sure in a pure drag race the Z may be faster but in the real world of turns and straights I suspect the C7 has an advantage.

There are a couple of tracks to compare the two, but the C7 is faster around the track if these times are correct.

Hellooooo
If you were a C7 owner, would you mess with a C6 Z06, especially one that is camming?
Even stock vs. stock - numbers do not lie - if driven semi decent, a stock Z is capable of high 11's @ 123. If driven decent, then mid 11's @126. A stock C7 can only dream of running those type of numbers. With that being said, why [if you are a C7 owner] would you ask for a butt spanking?
Follow me?
Thanks,
Carlos

I beleive CF is finally allowing race stories ( Thank god! ) So you can cross the border back into the good ole US of A if you want to race and talk about it on CF . I could be wrong!
Now having said that , they may be close from a dead stop but from a roll there is probably 3-4 cars in between them. heavier, less HP .
