Should make some steam
Can you share more details about the heads? Flow numbers and what size?

from what i could gather over the phone (i was at work), @ the lift I am at (.650ish) they flow 390 cfm on the intake and i forgot what they said the exhaust flowed, with their CNC porting program, New Manley Severe Duty exhaust valves, new bronze guides, BTR Platinum valve springs with titanium retainers. Frankenstein said it should make well over 600 to the wheels with the stage 4 cam and intake and full exhaust.

Cleanup mill, about .005-.008. Power is from the cam and porting, not compression really. I could deck them and run meth or race gas, but that wasn't the goal.

Found out today that they are Stg 1 Frankenstein LS7 heads and that the are milled .030" to bump the compression up to 11.5:1. The exhaust ports on these heads are no longer a "D" port, they are now round. With my car having stock manifolds there is some turbulence or may be some revergence causing it to knock above 6K RPM and to pull timing out, also could be bad gas or a combo of the two. I'm running this tank out to put some Shell 93 octane, then go back and tweak on it a little more.

550 RWHP @ 17 degrees isnt to bad

2007 2LZ
Frankenstein Stg 1 CNC ported LS7 heads
BTR Stg IV LS7 N/A cam
K&N CAI
MGW shifter
Monster Dual disc clutch with master cylinder and slave cylinder
275/345 INVOS
Bottomed out stock bolts

I just ordered my headers and will go back for a retune once installed. hopefully ill be close to the 600 rwhp mark. driving it everyday, its a lotta bit jerky. i had pretty great luck at tx2k15 and whooped up on a slew of 650-700 rwhp cars and was told that i had a supercharger. they were stupefied when i opened the hood and they saw stock manifolds, stock spark plug wires, generally a stock engine bay other than a k&n cai. this cam pulls like a freight train above 3500 rpm. if the "jerkiness" doesn't bother you then go for it. if you want a smoother ride and still make some good steam look into the stg 3 cam, that cam makes great power too and is more street friendly.

I'm hoping the jerkyness can be tamed through tuning. I expect some bucking. It's either this or Katech k501 cam. Think only the stage 4 is a closer comparison with the k501but I could be wrong. I need to look at a stage 3 and see the specs. I had a tourqer 110 in my last Z06 and loved it, but hated how it died up top. I'm willing to give up some low end TQ for a freight train top end....

with the 111 +2 its gunna be hard to tame the jerkiness. I too will give it a go once I get a new laptop and my own hp tuners. it doesnt really bother me and I am happy with it. I have put about 8K miles on this car since the cam install.

I have the stage 4 BTR cam and my car runs smooth... Only a tiny bit of surging at 1300-1500 in 1st-4th... Zero bucking in 5th or 6th at any rpm... I'm 12:1cr...

I agree as most will that headers with this cam is important.

I love that second part!! That's great!! I always find it funny when you hear the speculation that's so far off as justification for why someone got stomped. The truth is hard to deal with sometimes.

Nice work!!
