[Z06] BTR stg IV Cam
#41
Sounds sick. I'm pulling the trigger today. Called them today to see about the stage 3. Seems either way I'll be happy. But I think Im going stage 4. Just last minute jitters. Don't wanna install it, just to remove it and swap to a lesser cam than the stage 4.

624rwhp & 555rwhp SAE... Here's how she sounds with the BTR stage 4... Best trap so far with some issues is 139mph... I love this cam...
Edit: I should also add I'm 94 octane (pump here) & a meth kit... Also it was built by Race Proven Performance in Kentucky and tuned by Shortuning...

LS7 BUD are you willing to share your modifications? I would really like mine to perform like yours. I cant imagine that headers alone are holding me back that much.

My girl hopes the Mild 2 Wild switch will quiet it down when in need. I'm sure it will down it some, but I didn't want to tell her I'm thinking it wont as much as she would like...lol...
Am I right about this?

I have ARH 2" LTs with 3" off-road x-pipe and 3" B&B fusion... The M2W switch quiets it right down... I can drive down my street at 3am without an issue... With it open people complain during the day and everyone knows when I'm coming by their place when I'm a mile away lol...

That's good to hear. My neighbors can be a pain at times.
Can you pm me your mods as welL? Wanna see how they compare too the list I have. Also what clutch and rear tires do you use?

I didn't realize until the end of the season when I was watching my 10.09 pass I saw sparks fly out from under my car on the launch and the 1-2 shift... Took off my 15x10 wheels and realized my a-arms are no where near ground down enough... They took a huge strip of powder coat off the inside of the barrel and took some aluminum too... Couldn't get my car past a 1.53 sixtyfoot for the life of me when it was hitting... After I seen it I ground it enough to clear on launch... Went back to the track for one last try and I got a 1.45 sixty on the first launch then snapped my axle right after the 60'... Now I have ZR1 axles with DSS wheel bearings... I had OEM C5 axles and a Hoosier 275/50/15 radial... I now run MT ET Drags 26/10/15 which is a stiff wall slick... As for clutch I have a RXT with a billet steel flywheel...

I have the stock ones in mine

They tie two lifters together, keep the rollers aligned and eliminate the need for the stock plastic lifter trays, which accomplish the same thing. For wet sump engines, the plastic trays can hold oil from returning to the pan etc... Not a big deal with a dry sump setup. It's mostly piece of mind. Like I said, if I'm spending that much on lifters the added safety of having a metal link keeping the roller lifters aligned is better than a piece of plastic that can fail more easily, especially with higher lift cams, more spring pressure etc..
