Default Need more Traction

Hey everyone.

I recently supercharged (ECS Novi 1500 kit) my C6 ZO6 which already had thin head gaskets, PRC 265 heads, ported intake manifold and full exhaust because I initially planned to keep it N/A. Running 13.74 PSI at peak boost with the restrictor plate on. Therefore, I'm putting out 740hp and 588tqto the wheels. I'm spinning in 4th! I have Nittos on with plenty of meat left, but I need a better street tire. I drive it around town and on the highway, but really need a sticky tire out back. Without jumping into drag radials, can anyone suggest some sticky street tires????

Street tires don't stand a chance at your power level. You need a 28" drag radial.

Damn! I was really hoping to hear that I could get away with Michilin Cups or Toyo R888 or something that I can fit on my 20 in rear rims (I have carbon ceramic brakes and need those big wheels to clear the brakes) and take on long highway drives LOL!!

Truth always hurts I suppose😢

Are you sure 19" wheels wont fit on your CC brakes?

What nitto tire? The invo can't handle what the nt05 can handle and the nt05 can't handle what the nt05r can handle...

NY, I have been thinking about this subject for awhile asI stated my build plans in your other thread, when I was planning a head/cam/nitrous build for mine, I was advised to get 19" cup replicas, swap center caps and put the R888' on all 4 corners or just the NT05R's on the rear, that way you can have the same wheel set up that came with our Centennial's, anymore more power than that than 18"s and some MT's will be needed. And yes the 19x12 will clear the the CC brakes from what I was told

You have outhorsepowered the tire capability. There are no tires to accommodate your power level. Your only choice is to reduce the power to accommodate the stickiest tire that will fit on your car.

The easy way is to try different size blocks under the go pedal until you get the traction you need.

The Michelin Pilot Super Sports are a great tire. I love them. But I feel like the NT05R will probably be the best. Honestly if it was me I'd just run Hoosiers.
