Finally got my new valve cover to replace that stupid oil fill hole I rigged up to accept my catch can. It's not drilled and tapped for a 1/2 NPT to 10AN fitting to go to the can without a loose fit.

Got the car out again today, it was only 70 degrees. Car steadied out around 190. From Unreal and others posting their cooling system issues, 120 over ambient doesn't seem unreasonable. Probably going to add some Water Wetter and more distilled water to add some cooling capacity.

Wheels are done and on the way. Should be here next week!

Got my PFADT street coilover setup and ZR1 sway bars/bushing ready to go on. Dual Nozzle upgrade from Alky Control is on the way to give me more headroom since my current setup is pretty maxed out. Once it's on I'll do some runs to reset the controller to get me back to the same AFR I am now.

Finally got the PFADT coilovers, ZR1 sway bars and new wheels/tires on. The car handles so much better and looks great with the new shoes...

Thanks, just the cheap Proform units that GM performance sells. They gasket washers for the 4 hold-down screws are a HORRIBLY fickle design and the oil cap that they come with sucks, but otherwise, the look is spot on to me. Just needed some ingenuity to get them working well!

As long and they look good and function. Also I meant I like them.

Thank you. Pictures do not do the car justice. It looks incredible in person.

I may have missed it, but what compression are you running ?

I'm running slightly milled MAST heads with 65cc chambers. I calculated it a long time back but about 11.6:1 ish.

I've always been intrigued with a higher compression motor with f/i. I'm roughly 12:0 with my 66cc chambers but with forged pistons. I'm flex fuel as well.

I wish we could get the TiKT kit that places aftermarket intakes openings where the fog lights are....running a pair of a-a intercoolers there would be awesome so you don't take away airflow from the radiator. That Katech Air Attack car has them on there but the kit is not available as a seperate unit

So is your forged rotating assembly a high compression setup?

Stock crank and rods, full ARP hardware on the rotating assembly, ARP head bolts on WCCH Stage 2 heads milled .030, forged Weisco pistons with upgraded steel tool wrist pins. 12.1 static compression, but the K501 cam bleeds off some of it so the dynamic compression is pretty good. It can run on crappy AZ 91 pump gas...drops around 15 RWHP/TQ.

Yeah, the reason I went ahead with the project is that my dynamic compression ration with the RPM B3 cam I already had installed has a good dynamic CR to boost, even with the large profile and slightly bumped compression. It's pretty awesome to drive for sure but I made sure I had lots of meth to ensure it added safety to the 93 pump tune. I may swap over to E85 at some point to try and keep things even safer, but likely i'll start building a motor sooner than later for future mod work.

Yep, E85 if you can get it. THey screwed us here in AZ as late last year they changed the forumaltion of the ethanol fuel to E51 minimum...most of the time it's at E54 I'd run some meth to be safe as well, but the reality is I'd be more worried about the blocked airflow for the radiator here in Az during the summer months. If I could use that TiKT kit and run a pair of smaller a-a in that would solve the airflow issue to the radiator/condensor. The power you have would be perfect.

I'm not entirely convinced I have a huge cooling problem yet, but when it goes hot, I'll know if I need to spend money on the oil cooler to give my radiator some additional headroom. I'm also running 50/50 factory GM coolant with NO additives so I'll likely swap to 80/20 (distilled water/Dexcool) mix with a bottle or so of Water Wetter or similar. That will also help some I'm sure.

Guys out here suffer quite a bit in traffic.....on the highway with lots of airflow pushing thru the grill they are usually ok..I want to be able to run the A/C in traffic when it gets 110+ out here

Curious to see how the car is holding up? Any regrets supercharging the car?

The car is an absolute blast! It's had a few things I've had to give some attention to as a result of having so much crap packed into the engine bay like my rubbed coolant line that I've since rerouted like the procharger kit does. Otherwise, the only thing I'd change would be cooling to give me more headroom for really hot days when I'd want to run the A/C and sit in traffic. It takes a while but it will easily get up to 230-235 coolant temps in traffic on a hot day with the A/C on and won't really come down with the A/C off until you really get cruising. I'd maybe consider sticking with the cut-down radiator I have (which almost does the job now) but remove the engine oil and trans cooling to aux cooling radiators behind the fog lights and that would do the trick.

I'd also really like to consider going to flex fuel to support the ability to run E85 for enhance safety and be able to run without fear that the meth might drop out and blow the engine... Right now with my slightly bumped compression we agreed that it wasn't really safe to do a non-meth tune (even at low timing) for fear of heat since I'm at about 11.6:1 or so compared to 11.0:1 stock (which is high enough).

Next step is to look into a block so I can have more piece of mind and make a little more efficient power with the T-trim which is surely light at only 6-6.5psi.

I'd definitely do it again, given the chance, but I'd probably have NOT gone with a heads cam setup before hand so I could have made it a little more boost friendly.
