Definitely sounds like a dropped valve. did you look around the engine for signs of a hold in the block? Any fluids leaking out?

At first no fluid at all. Then when put up on flatbed oil and coolant bleeding out all over from back side of engine.

Also, had an Audi R8 trailing me and they believe they saw debris shoot out of exhaust along with Puff of white smoke.

At shop soon for tear down.......verdict awaits.

Sorry to hear about your engine. What mods were done to the car? I do hope that you document everything with as much data and pictures as possible.

What kind of ****ing sports car with 24k Miles on the clock drops valves all day long like these LS7's?? And GM is going to try and tell us that there is no problem....that this is an isolated prob. Gimme a FKN break.

Unfortunately with a tune it's going to cost you a few dollars.

Best of luck with the claim, maybe I'm wrong if GM decides to be generous.

So you've had the car since Oct. and didn't have the heads checked? Must have thought it was internet hysteria. Sorry for your loss.

Bummer. I dont think youll be covered. And youve admitted here you know about the tune and want to commit fraud. I mean i can see why, but facts are facts. If i were you i would let chips fall where they may without an attempted coverup.. No pun intended. I really would but i understand $ is a big factor.

So were you tracking the car or street? Thats really fast for either.

A car w 20+k miles should not just blow like this Let it happen to you big $$ and see what you would do.

Never tracked this car. Was just opening her up on a wide open highway in middle of nowhere.

Disagree with the fraud statement. It's not fraud if the tune didn't cause the problem. If it is a valve problem, they can't say the tune dropped the valve, look at all the cars that have problems. They will, however, try and not cover it due to a tune. To me, it's the dealer who is committing the crime here. Over and over dealers deny or try and deny claims due to mods, that didn't cause a thing to happen.
I'd spend the money, return the car to a stock tune, hope they don't say anything about the long tubes and fight for a fix. With it being a possible expensive engine fix, I'd even swap out the long tubes if it was me. And if you do take the long tubes out, and if there are pieces from the engine in them, put them right back into the stock manifolds. Just my 2 cents though.
