If you look close at the pic you'll see that that the struts don't really support anything. They're attached right at the same spot where the splitter attaches to the car?

Not for me, but I will say you did a great job!

I always thought if I bought a ZR-1, my first mod would be to ditch the clear window, install that CF vent LG makes.. My car shares the same hood with the ZR, but no hole / window, so no sense cutting into that CF hood..

I'd like to see this vent painted body color - one of the issues with the C7 is all of the vents with contrasting colors add to the "Transformer" look.

Looks good and nice job. I think it would look good CF or body color. Also, since its open, and not sure how the Camaro setup is. I know it vents, so it has to be somewhat open, but wondered about rain, etc.

My C6Z has been through several big Florida thunderstorms since I installed my vented Seibon hood below.

I has been in a years worth since I installed vents in previous hood. Chevy does a pretty good job waterproofing.

I really dig it. I think I'd prefer the vent in carbon fiber or some of it body color, though. Great job!

Great job looks great. I think it would look pretty nice with a vent like that on either side of the hood.

The vent IS available in carbon fiber from the Z28.

The price jumps from $150 to $1400!!

How far down from the top of the hood did you make your cut? I'm thinking of cutting mine around the 11" mark.

Also what did you use to cut the hood? Skill saw?

Nice! Did the same thing to my 2013 Camaro. It is functional and does work, my coolant temps dropped 18 degrees sitting in bumper to bumper traffic (216 to 198).

This is the Vent that most people are getting. OEM and inexpensive at $123.

This is the underhood rain guard. Nobody has installed this yet on the Vette that I know of, But I ordered it and will try to see if I can get this to work

This is the expensive Carbon Fiber one....Very expensive...
