I think the simple answer is extend the warranty on the heads or recall them all

500 Mile oil changes...

You Mis-Read, GM wants you to change the oil at 500 miles on a new car, Not every 500 miles.

Uhh, olds news and it didn't go anywhere because the GM bankruptcy basically makes them non-responsible.
