[Z06] Class Action Against GM !!??

Congratulations guys!
I moved to a 2016 Z06 and had a disaster of an experience. Transmission wouldn't stay in gear. Random popping noise from under the hood which I believe was either a lifter failing or torque tube misalignment and a check engine light within the first 300 miles. Tried communicating with GM but the woman was very rude! So, that made up my mind. I would have allowed the car to have been repaired until she decided to take her Friday afternoon frustrations out on me!
I took it back. I lost some money. But I sleep at night again.
I moved to a 2013 ZR1 but I wish you all the best. It's time corporate America remembers the people they've turned their back to are the people paying the checks to feed their families. Not to mention bailing their rears out of bankruptcy! You all deserve what you paid for. I hope you get it. Best of luck to you all.

I had a 2008 Z, had several valve guides worn out of spec when checked at 27K, paid 3500.00 to have them fixed at AHP along with two trips to California, hotel rooms, etc. I traded the Z in a few months back along with my Wife's Cadillac SRX as I wanted to ditch GM products out of my household. Ownership of the Z was a mixed experience for me, the car looked beautiful, great power. What soured it for me was little gremlins with a grinding noise starting out in first gear, when cold the torque tube area made a whirling noise, and of course the out of spec heads & getting the run around from GM not wanting to take care of customers. When I thought the class action suit was dead, kept worrying about the heads even after repair, hatred towards GM, I ended up not driving the car very much and ended up getting rid of it at a loss. I am much happier without it now, I did buy a new Nissan 370Z and enjoy the car 100 times better.

Certainly a design and or mf'g, problem but the way they handled it after they were made aware of the problem and how widespread it has become certainly borders on negligence and fraud in sweeping it under the rug and hoping it would simply go away.

Has the $64k question ever been answered yet? If the heads are rebuilt, is the problem solved or just delayed? The last I heard was the rebuilt heads are wearing down too. That's what is so aggravating for me.

To make the suit go away, GM will probably give the lawyers a couple of million and then give us C6 Z06 owners a $100 coupon good on a new 2016 Z06(that is in inventory at your nearest dealer at full MSRP).

I pulled my heads two days ago in fear of dropping a valve. Recently went to Holley's LS fest and was advised not to drive the car until it was fixed. I drove the car once since then, due to fear of catastrophic failure. I'd like to sign on with this suite. I will have my machinist provide documentation of lateral valve travel.

subscribed. No problems yet, but did drive 800 miles to Abel Chevrolet to get the wiggle test done by a competent dealer and that result was in spec. I will do it again early next year. Luckily I purchased an 08 with very low miles that had a transferable GMPP warranty that is good til Aug of 17, so at least I drive it worry free. I can't imagine driving one without either a Fix or a valid warranty.
Good luck. And given that the suit covers cars through 13 plus the 3 year original warranty period, I imagine that the bankruptcy will not invalidate all claims, but just those on cars that were built or went out of warranty before GM emerged from bankruptcy. Anyone know when that happened. Also GM is currently liable for the ignition claim issues and many of those were prebankruptcy weren't they?

What do I need to do to sign into this suite? I just purchased a 2006 ZO6. Low miles, but I was going to pull the heads. And have them fixed. But with this filed suite, should I just let the car set. Until we see what happens, with GM. But tell me where, and what to do. I will be glad to come on board, against GM.
Thanks Robert
