on average after packaging and shipping costs it winds up being around just north of $200 one way on shipping for CONUS 48. its a major pita to ship these.

now on the color, i have had silver mufflers and it didnt look good imo.

I have a set done by Josh. Count on over 500 bucks shipping by the time you go both ways. You can save some by getting them shipped to the border and picking them up though.

He has moved since doing mine though, so costs might differ.

Later,
Brad

Thanks for clarifying Brad. Yes, shipping can be a headache for international guys. My last two sets I have return shipped within the lower 48 for $125 insured via FedEx. They're a pain to package as Brad knows.

Shipping definitely factors into the expense of my conversions. There's no easy way around that.

It might be possible for customers to cut their own tails off prior to converting them, ship all components to me, then I weld in a slip connection at the merge so that the mufflers and tails slip back together and fasten with a band clamp. This would allow the muffler system to ship in a container half the size, but would add a bit to the overall expense of the mod with the extra parts and fab work. It would probably be about the same cost as the extra shipping once the dust settles.

Well worth the additional costs involved with shipping. They are exactly as advertised. Loud in loud mode and substantially quieter in quiet mode. Still louder than stock, I believe, but it's exactly what I wanted.

Far better than the B&B set I had on the car prior, which were ridiculously loud and really loud. Makes the car far nicer to drive.

Brad

Hey there so can we come to a conclusion...Are all oem ZR1 exhausts the "same" as 2011-2013 oem Z06 exhausts? When the 2011 Z06 first came out some pointed out that the letters "ZR1" were marked with a sharpie on their mufflers from the factory.

That is a very fair assumption

Somewhere in the 2012-13 time frame the Z06 (and likely ZR1) exhaust added a second cat to each side, so they are not all the same from 2009ZR1 to 2013.

We are talking the mufflers only, and do not care about the additional cats. Its 2012 by the way

Yup we are focusing on the over axle mufflers. And yes you are correct 2012-2013 midpipes are different with 2 extra cats and won't fit earlier years

I had my good friends 2011 Z07 Perf Package up on my lift and i looked at his mufflers. They are badged as Z06 mufflers. The only difference i could see from the outside is the 4 little holes on the loud pipe is smaller on the Z06 muffler than they are on the ZR1 mufflers.

You can barely see the difference in this pic.

Does anyone in the northeast do this mod for a reasonable cost?
