Default Lingenfelter 630hp upgrade....Heads???

I'm looking at a 2007 z06 with the 630hp upgrade. The upgrade was done when the car had 1000 miles and now has 10k. I had the thought that I was willing to pay a bit more for the car vs a stock z06 thinking that the heads have been dealt with. But after re-reading the description on Lingenfelters page, they don't say anything about upgrading the valve guides or valves for that matter, they say "valve job". Especially being done in 2007 before the issue was really known. I was wondering if anyone had experience? I did see one post from Dec that a guy with a Lingenfelter built motor said that he has the "fairy dust".

I would call them, but my guess is the heads were not fixed.

Call them, but I'd think if they did a "valve job" then the guides should be properly done and the valves should be concentric with the seats. Probably OEM valves. Some of us are OK with that when the good valve job is done and some are not.

I agree. Lingenfelter is well aware of the valve guide issue and in the past they recommended to me to replace the guides and valves..

Don't quote me, but I think they do PM guides and stock valves on their heads. Similar to Katech offering CHE (bronze manganese) guides and stock valves. Prior to AHP offering up their proprietary PM guides, I believe I read that Lingenfelter was the only place (in the known vette community) using replacement PM guides in stock head rebuilds.

I spoke with Lingenfelter today which did help put my mind at ease, for reference they use powdered metal guides.

As a side note, I drove the car last night and I think I'm hooked.
