Great job!

This is obviously not a simple plug and play mod, but the finished product is impressive...as is your persistence and plan of action to get it all buttoned up.

Even airbags? Do you plan on writing up the wiring challenges or better yet, creating a plug and play harness?

no side airbags...i suppose if you have seats with side airbags; then you are either going to eliminate the airbags or find a way to install them into the airbag cavity on the c7 seats...which is going to be tight because when you retract the seats all the way back...the c7 side airbag cover hits the b pillar

To the write up...it would be difficult for a plug and play because everyones vette could be different...1lt...2lt ...3lt

I think as far as the side airbags go that has yet to be determined by someone else that has them already installed in their c6 seats. You have to remember 2 things about the airbags…1. Will they fit in the existing c7 side airbag cavity…2. Will the c7 airbag cover interfere with the movement of the seat if you want to move the seats all the way to the rear bulkhead. I had to remove 3/4 of a inch from my seat covers to clear the pillar. If not…what will happen is that it will force the seat to push up in the rear or hit the pillar as well. I suppose you can choose to get the side airbag simulation plugs from dan at vetteworks…..along with all of this are the seat position sensors and pretensioner plugs. Maybe there is someone else that can chime in here that has side airbags currently in their c6 seats and are transitioning them to the c7 seats.

THANKS NIKO

Niko at suburban is the best guy to work with...he has helped me out figuring part numbers for different seat covers...he has always returned my emails or phone calls...in the future; I will be changing my seat covers over to black with red stitching to match my new centennial dash and door panels... my gt seats were originally black with titanium stitching
