[Z06] Brake Pulsation After Winter Storage

Brake Pulsation After Winter Storage
I have brand new <500 mi pads and rotors on my 2006 Z. They were installed in the fall before winter storage. I pulled to car out of the garage and there is a very sever pulsation when braking. Never raced to car, I just drive it around town to get groceries and run errands. Does anyone have ideas for diagnosis or know the issue. let me know if you need more info
Car was parked in an unheated garage.
Parking brake was engaged.
Rotors are free of rust where the pads make contact.

A lot of times the pads can leave residue where they were resting against the rotor. This is enough to cause a shake. Look carefully at the rotors, do you see something that looks like this?

I wouldn't leave the parking brake on for long term storage. Not sure why you would get a pulsation unless the pads seized to the rotors and left an imprint.

Probably just pad deposition. Take it out on a section of highway where you can do 5 or 6 hard 65-25 stops without invoking the ABS and then drive with minimal brake usage for 15 minutes.

When you say "pulsation" do you mean the pedal pulsates under your foot during brake application, or does the steering wheel shake side-to-side duiring brake application, or you can feel the car shaking during brake applcation?
Also, when you brake lightly, but hold the brake application until the car comes to a full stop, just before the car comes to a stop do you feel a cycical fore-aft shaking?

Have seen this happen before...as Edsc6Z06 stated, never leave the parking brake applied for that long. I believe the pulsating is from that and only way to fix is turn rotors or replace....hope I'm wrong but like I mentioned, I've seen it a few times.

Perhaps OP can drive the car and apply the E-Brake lightly while holding the release button for 100 yards or so, which would disburse any brake shoe deposit in the drum part of the e-brake.
I think doing as I suggested above several hard braking applications 65-20 will fix his issue.

Parking brake is inside the rear brake "hats", turning the rotors would do nothing regarding E-Brake on.

Never heard of this before. I've been storing my Corvette during the long Wisconsin winters (4-5 months) with parking break engaged for the past 6 winters and hever had a pulsation or vibration issue. Just got my Z out of storage this weekend and she fired right up and drove like it was yesterday!

Be careful I did this in Bmw once as I live abroad and it had sat for a few months.
Went out and did lots of stops to try and free it up turns out the caliper was sticking and the brakes almost caught fire!
But almost certainly it's a buildup on pads and a good thrashing will clear it up

Did you install the pads yourself and mount the wheels and lug nuts yourself ? If not consider that the dealer over tightened the lug nuts using his air gun. I have seen many warped brake rotors by unscrupulous or dumb mechanics. This problem does not show up quickly and has led to many expensive brake jobs that cannot be proven as being caused by the dealer.
