Default Service charging system after header install please help!

Just installed headers, I removed the alternator with battery disconnected of course and after putting everything back together, almost immediately service charging system then the volts drop and car dies. All connections are tight same as belt, its a 08 with 8k miles and was working just fine before the install, and I drive it often. So I took the alternator to autozone suspecting it somehow went bad and it passed all of their tests. So I was able to charge the battery fully overnight and after starting, it was go past 12.0 to 12.1v, I put the headlights 11.5 to 11.6v it is not dropping though, but still getting service charging system. I am sort at a loss with this one. Maybe the battery somehow? Any inout would be great.
I also tried to remove the battery to be for sure, but there is no space to fit hands nor a strap on the battery. Easier to remove an alternator then a battery in a z06.

Not too familiar with the ls7 yet, but i hit and broke the exciter wire on my 2001 camaro ss when I did a header swap. As such, the alternator did not charge the battery. Again, not sure if it is in the way like it was on the f-bodies, but maybe something to look into.

Check plugs, especially if you didn't remove them to install the headers.

Have checked all plugs and wires. Everything is tight. It sits around 11.5v down to 11.0v.

Any loose grounds? Check the block grounds on the driverside.

Check the starter motor connection.

Either the installer cracked the solenoid connection or it may be grounding. It happened to me, as I moved the header around, it hit the brittle plastic on the solenoid and it cracked, giving an intermittent connection.

Replaced the solenoid, problem solved.

Thank you. I fixed the problem. It did end up being a ground from the alternator to starter. I had to undo it to install passenger header, guess I did not put it back properly. Everything good now. Here I am removing the alternator and battery to see what is causing it when they are both good.
