I have about 3000 miles on my Michelin Pilot Super Sports in the stock sizes. I haven't had any problems with wobble or vibration and have had the car up to just over 160.
Maybe it is a certain lot or something that has the problem.

This issue has shown up on some PSS non-ZP tires on Z06's. Several forum members have gotten warranty claims honored for the "death wobble". Try getting the warranty claim as these tires are worth it.

My PSS in stock size have 400+ miles at 150 and no problems up to 196+. I just replaced my fronts with another stock size set of PSS with 0416 date code. The replaced ones were a 2011 date code. I have over 20K miles plus road circuit time on them. I run some events that require the tires to be < 5 years old. Still good tread on the 2011's, though. These tires have great grip for a straight street tire.

Id like to add my "MPSS death Wobble" experience to this thread. So myself and another member here in the forums were racing in Mexico against a modded ATS-V and an AMG. We lined up 3 wide (AMG behind). Our friend in the AMG saw my rear end from behind and thought I was messing around on purpose. Nope, death wobble. Fiance who was riding with me was scared. Tires have about 7k miles on them. 17/32 thread left. Only happens under WOT after about 90-100mph This goes away when I put the Hoosiers on the back so I believe this to be the same issues. I have contacted Michelin and am waiting for a response.

Four digit DOT date codes on the tires are? They should be in the form of 1112 (11th week of 2012) or 4614 (46th week of 2014 where the first two number represent the week of the year manufactured and the last two the year.

Those dates are definitely outside the previously known "bad batch" build dates. Have you checked your alignment? Usually the death wobble didn't show up until ~120+, so 85 is very unusual. Have you lowered the rear more than the front? If the Z06 doesn't have the normal rear to front rake that will impact how the car responds a lot.

My rear PSS are 1517 and I've had them to 175 with no problems and extended time at 150, again with no problems. Fronts are 0416.
