Default Brake Pads

Hi Guys I have a 2010 Grand Sport 4LT Heritage.
I have researched Brake pads even with my dealer, It seems I have The system same as the Z06.
I bought Pads from O'Reillys Premium Titanium,Graphite,Super golden,Blah blah blah pads... $266 for the set. THEY WERE WRONG...They were for the Coupe.
I purchased new OEM rotors from GM website.
I went to dealership today to purchase the correct pads and Found out they were $468 for the set...EEEEERRRK!!!
WTF?
Any ideas where I can Purchase Good pads at a decent price?
I dont see Pads and D&S rotors and me Doing the Swap for $1100

KNS is who I will be using when I do my brakes next time.

I dealt with Ken for a few years on other cars and always a great product and great customer service.

He's got packages of just about anything you could want.

The factory prices are high because they provide new locating pins with each set. AutoZone has their ceramic pads if you don't mine a little less stopping power and they are low dust. Make sure to ask for 2010 Z06 brake pads for iron rotors not for the CCB's on the Z07 option'd Z06.

Forum Vender AMP auto (Adam) has Carbotech 1521 street pads.

Amazon.com: ACDelco 177-0924 GM Original Equipment Front Disc Brake Rotor: Automotive Amazon.com: ACDelco 177-0924 GM Original Equipment Front Disc Brake Rotor: Automotive

For my '08 Z06 dealer wanted $850 for new discs/rotors/pins + labor.
Bought all OEM Delco components (kit) & an indy installed 'em.
$400 out-the-door...$125 cheaper, had I done the work myself.

The world's largest mail order site has OEM GM front pads w/ pins for $220. Best price you'll find for OEM. You can get the GM Durastop line for about $140 as well. OEM pads are Ferodo, and the Durastop line used to be primarily Dana/Bendix...not sure if it still is or not. Durastop is GM's less expensive product line.

If you push your car hard then you may want to look at these pads.

KNS has package deals to fit every budget.

Old thread that gets bumped by them regularly...but I suggest just going to their website to see what they currently have deals on. https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...gs-brakes.html

If you just need brakes that work and dust less that the OEMs, go for Centric Posiquiet. They should still be less than $200 for a full set. Not recommended for regular racing though.

While the posi-quiet semi metallics are a decent cheap street pad, they do not have the performance of the stock pads. Less initial bite and less fade resistance, when stopping from triple digit speeds.

They are less noisy, less dirty, and much easier on the rotors, than the stock pads, however. I have found that a lot of the nasty grime from the stock pads, is actually small iron filings from the rotors wearing.

If any of you want a quality aftermarket pad take a look at the Carbotech 1521 pad. Low dust stops like OEM and last longer. 100% non-corrosive dust will not harm your paint or wheels.
