What do I need to upgrade to drop in an LSX motor?
Hey guys,
I was originally considering replacing my engine with a built LSX from LME in my 2006 Z06. I have an ECS supercharger kit running 7lbs, exhaust, and new monster clutch and also a new torque tube.
Outside of the long block itself, if I wanted to run about 800-1000rwhp what upgrades would my car need? New rear? Fuel system? Anything else? Do you guys have recommendations for that stuff? I want to be able to put my boost up to about 13lbs.
I'm scared to rebuild my engine with only certain parts and then have something else go wrong. I have 144k miles on the engine so I am nervous to dump any money into it instead of replacing it all together.
Thoughts? I'm very new at this. Do you recommend the LSX for a super street application or is that overkill completely?
