Default Total Noob Needing Advice

Well I've finally joined the corvette family. After waiting for what seemed like forever, I picked up a 2011 ZR1. That being said, I come from a "car family" that tinkers with everything from diesel pickups to old hot rods so let the mods begin.

I'm looking to get 800-900 whp on E85, but am curious as to which shops/packages to look at. Car will mainly be used for weekend fun and occasional roll racing & 1/2 mile events. I'm in the Bay Area, but happy to ship the car to TX if necessary. If anyone has any feedback (please no bashing) on Synergy, Cunningham, KP or D3, I'd love to hear it. Also, if you have any specific recommendations on parts, upgrades etc. I'll definitely lend an ear.

Thanks!

Cunningham did a good portion of my mods , I'm just under 800whp with stock heads still ...900 will be tough blower only unless you go on a dyno jet for your numbers , I got 788whp on a mustang dyno .

Thank you for the info. I would be very happy with 800whp on a mustang dyno. Do they have package deals that I can look at or was it done piece by piece?

I don't know what dyno is loaded or not . But I made 730 on a dyno jet . Then 640 on cunninghams mustang dyno , both on pump gas . Did the e85 conversion with supporting mods , went to 788 on a 100 degree day . In my opinion dyno jets are just for glory numbers . I've see 700whp cars get their *** handed to them by 600whp cars that came from Cunningham .

MGpete , I'm sure the offer package deals , I saved some money on labor combining everything on the last round of mods . Had to do the pump , injectors , d3 system , mantic triple disc clutch and lower pulley to reach my goal .

I made 769 on a dynojet and the very next day on a Mustang made 816.

Maybe it's in the dyno operator ? My car was the opposite of what your car did .

KP did the build on my car and did great work. I'm more interested in road coarse work so my tune and build are geared toward that. I'm at 764 on E85, still on the stock fuel pump. Ported heads, 108SWTB, cam, injectors. The cooling on my car is a combination of different parts and works good. It has been modified by KP to get the most out of it but I'm starting to wish I had installed KP's ice tank in the back of the car. I didn't do it because I'm working to drop as much weight out of the car as I can but I may need to rethink that on the cooling system.

Eh dynos are just measurement tools and in the end comparing them is pretty pointless. The true tell tale is mph in the 1/4 or 1/2 mile.

Install it and the Stewart pump. Well worth the weight.

Thank you all. I definitely plan on the ice tank and HX kit from D3. What cams are you guys running? Don't want to go too hot as I'll still drive this on the street, but understand that will need a certain size to hit the power levels I'm looking for.

As for weight, not too concerned as I'm not looking to break any records (rabbit hole that I don't want to go down), plus I'm not exactly the lightest person in the world. At what point do I need to cage the car?

If you are west coast then I would definitely recommend Cunningham and they'll get you setup with all the right goodies, including our cooling mods

Vengeance did a custom cam in my car that I really like. Its a proper boost cam and has no surge.

I'm running the Stewart pump and pleased with it, just not the ice tank yet.

My car has the BTR Stage 3 cam in it. It is mild enough that my wife takes my car to work in downtown Houston from time to time and has no trouble with it.
