The much improved stiffer handling.

I still drive my 2008 and it is crude compared the 2015.

Sounds like your trying to dumb down yourself into thinking the old car compares. Not really the new Car has moved the Corvette in to a different league.

You haven't the FOGGIEST idea of what your posting.
RichieRichZ06 has both cars and you should read what he has to say in post #116 here https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...-c6-z06-6.html

You're exactly the kind of person I am talking about when I said "So to make the C7 appeal to as many people as possible particularly those asking to be “comfortable” and have an “open air experience” we ended up with a dumbed down, over weight, overheating, compromised Z06. So be careful what you ask for, you may get it! "

Nice thought, unless you have to pay the government a gas guzzler tax for the honor to own a z06. So, gas mileage was worth about $1800 to me.

Fuel is used to help cool cylinder temperatures down so you cant state that fuel in = more heat in the system.

Power output on the other hand can be used to calculate heat when the thermaldynamics of the engines are known.

TL;DR, but I'll give my opinion on the fuel mileage of my Z. My car hasn't been breathed on yet, only having had fixed heads fitted. It definitely gets better mileage than both of my C5Z's, but one was a 402 stroker, and the other only made slightly less power with full H/C/I. I average in the mid teens around town (it's my daily), and it gets mid 20's pretty easily on the hwy. So basically, I'm thrilled with that, but it's not why I bought it.

Basically I said all of that to say this, it's a nice byproduct of the car, nothing more. Also, I used to daily a Gen 2 Lightning. This car is basically a Prius compared to any powerful pickup!

same here as I daily mine and my mpg is same as yours. Almost same it’s full bolt on mill heads/ported. Tad over 500rwhp but mileage is very good compared to any other 500rwhp car/truck I ever owned.

My Z06 is a Prius compared to my CTS-V which is rated at only 12/18 mpg!

Never thought about it. At noon break of a HPDE I have less than half a tank, so I fill her up for the rest of the day. Maybe 5 mpg. The best gas mileage I've gotten on the highway was 34 mpg, cruise set on 80, posted 75, going across Arizona and New Mexico on 93 octane. This 91 stuff I get in CA is bad.

Keep the rubber side down

Not to the degree of a DD of course, but if it got 8 mpg on the freeway, yeah, I'd be pissed.
