New Z06 owner
New guy here with a 2007 Z06 with 12,000 miles. Glad to be a part of this website and have a few questions. Going to need new tires as the car still has the originals and would appreciate any advice on which brand would be advised for normal use and abuse- no track applications will be needed, and any suggestion on a reputable shop for the head issue, I’m in the Knoxville area and willing to take anywhere within 300 miles if possible . Thank you for any help.

Addicted performance is in Maryville. I can’t vouch for them but you can do youre own research. You can go with a big name such as Vengeance racing out of Georgia.

Congrats on the Z, we just got a 10k one owner car a few months back. Ours has fairly new Good Year F1's on it but when I change them out I may go with these Firestone Firehawk Indy's. Had them on a C5 years ago and recently put them on my wife's Hellcat, they stick pretty well for the money.

Looks like my car. Same year, miles, color and full width rear spoiler. I'll have to check my shop and make sure mine is still there.
My run flats were unsafe at any speed at 8 years old and 8k miles. I have INVOs now and I'm considering Michelin 4Ss or Continental extreme contact.

I'd consider Firestone firehawks, good value with an aggressive looking tread. I had a set delivered to my door for $1200 CAD. AHP package 4 cylinder heads are very convenient,; order your new set, have a local shop install, send your old ones back. Their website makes it easy to upgrade springs, valves, and add porting or decking for some additional performance over their basic head.

I'm a big fan of Continental Extreme Contact Sports on my supercharged Z.

Felt comfortable with Lethal Performance and Dyno Inc. in Jefferson City, TN. Brandon tuned my 2011 Vette GS and it ran very strong and hard and I was super pleased. I Sold now my new to me 07 Vette is going to Lethal Performance in Jefferson City, TN. *Side note I live a tad over 2 hours from Jefferson City, TN.*

Vengeance and lsxperts both in North GA. Others top but don't remember...Spartan maybe?. DBR performance is over in Nashville if that helps. Sure some are in KY and maybe the Carolina area too but can't recall their names. I'm just a lurker, searching on Google will bring up your question with loads of replies, from past forum members asking.

they have the top of the line equipment to change out your tires
and balance them!
they wont get all scratched up.

Michelin pilot super sports for a summer only tire...for the heads, there are many options out there, redo your existing heads or aftermarket....some popular choices are AHP, Tony Mamo, Frankenstein....do your homework & do a search on this forum for hundreds of experiences with all of the options out there

Congrats and welcome! - I have an 06 Z we picked up last year and used Vengeance in Cumming GA (looks like 180 miles from you). Bone stock 2006 but was worried about the heads. They are not the cheapest but they know c6 Z06's very, very well. They did their version of addressing the heads and I had them add a Halltech MF108 CAI, new plugs, new wires, new serp belt, etc while in there; then dyno tune. Car runs great and I don't worry about losing the engine now; 29k miles approx when we took it to them. Call and speak with Phil. Good luck

Welcome, congrats on your new Z, use it well...change those tires right away, they are too old; I would go with Michelins.

Back during Covid when nothing was available my only option was to get Pirelli's. My Z is set up with 19" wheels front and back. The sizes I got were 355/30-19 and 285/30-19 in front. I've had most of all the other brands of tires and these are far and away the best so far. The tires are called P-Zero's, not to be confused with run flats. I used to burn the Michelins off of it shifting to second gear, now it just relaunches. Amazing!
Good luck with your new toy.

I live in North Ga, and have alwasy known about lsxperts and Vengence. I'll buy I'm the market, hopefully I'm the next 12-18 months. Could you share your results from Vengence? As far as a ballpark cost and dyno results? Most don't have a price online. I've seen some of their videos on YouTube and on here. RPM is about the only one, saying a stage 3 os 10k and stage 4 runs about 15k. I'm not sure if I'll find one already done ,but ultimately want to buy a stock one and then have HCI/clutch done. Thanks !
