A bid farewell.
Well, I finally did it. Traded in my 09 Z06 for a 2016 C7Z. My C6Z was a monster car with the E-Force but still couldn't touch the C7Z.
Look for a bunch of stuff for sale in the next coming weeks. (E-Force, chrome cup wheels w/PSS's, Dashlogic, ZR1 CCM brakes, manifolds/cats, HPT, EFI Live, Dewitts SPAL Brushless, and a AutoMeter CAN Wideband.

Seems silly to say a C6Z with an E-Force wouldn't "touch" your C7Z. Congrats on the new one, but I think you're over-stating your new Z's power to possibly justify the purchase? I'd like to see a heads up between your new and old one.

The C7Z is just so much more refined than the C6Z. HP for HP there pretty equal, but the low end torque of the C7Z along with the better ride and newer technology make the C7Z a much better drive.

I also find the comment about the C6 Z06 with an E-force not being able to "touch" the C7 Z06...well.....comical.
Base canned tune for the E-Force is 657 HP against the C7's 650HP but the C6 Z06 has a weight advantage of around 260 pounds(equal to a 26 HP increase for the C6).
But where the C6 Z06 has a clear advantage is in the lower gearing; M6 vs M7. Now if the C7 Z06 is an A8, some of that gearing advantage in the C6 Z06 is lost in 1st gear, but from 45 MPH up, the C6 Z06 has all the advantages over the C7 Z06. Above 125 MPH, no question that the C6 Z06 has the advantage.

In the days of the C5 generation we had the Hardtop, Coupe and Z06. The C5R was winning races in an unprecedented way on television. The GM advertising of the Vette racing program was heavy and GM channeled that successful racing program energy right into the C5 to make sales.
Then came the C6 base and C6 Z51. Wow! The forums were chatty about all things Corvette. The C6 Z06 followed a year later. That car was advertised as, looked like and felt like a SuperCar. It was and still is bad ***. Fast. Quick. It set track records. GM advertised these achievements in the supplied DVD you get with a new C6 Z06 purchase. GM was proud of the C6 Z06 and bragged about it.
I don't see the GM bragging, advertising and success with the C7 Z06. Long live the C6 Z06!!
