Default Widebody tire question

I recently bought a c6 gs. It has the Goodyear run flats. Yeah, I know... They suck! Pilot sports are in the future. What I have is a terrible low speed tight turn "racket" that I'm told is because the contact patch is so much wider than is typical with most cars. Now I know no one can really say it's the tires or not. My question is how bad is the "skip" that people report? My c5z never made this noise but the fronts were 265 pilots. I just can't believe the geometry could be that bad on a Corvette.

My C4, 2 C5s, my C6Z and my C7Z all did/do the same thing. On tight turns the front tires will skip sideways with the car bumping up and down and making a funny noise. They just do it and there is nothing wrong with the car if it does this. There is nothing wrong with the steering geometry.

I replaced the Goodyears with Michelin PS2's.

They skip less but they still skip.

The only way I know of to avoid the skip is to not turn quite so sharp.

My wife has a C7 with Z51. It skips a lot more than the C6.

My 13 GS with PSS tires is pretty smooth in tight turns.

If you do new tires, I would suggest a "Good" alignment after the install.

I just purchased my Z06 and they came with Nitto Invo and don't have issue with them sticking , but like a member said good alignment does help.
