Lol, I guess a link with good info on the issue and how I decided to take care of it isn't worth your time. I knew there was a reason I very rarely post on forums. Thanks for reminding me.Have a nice holiday season, and enjoy your new to you z06.

No need to be rude.

My 09 is a No, it's still on a GMPP.

Well, your original post didn't seem to **** anyone off, based on the number of helpful replies. This post is likely to. Might want to start over.

I have useful helpful information that I choose not to post on this thread due to OP's comments.

09s were not affected by the valve issue. Beat on it and have fun!

Be sure to report back when you drop a valve and are out a $15k motor.

I have an 09. At 12k miles over half of my guides were out of spec. Honestly mostly intakes but some exhausts. I reused all valves, put in bronze guides and a proper valve job. Also cam, port and polish and valvetrain. Best to just get it fixed ASAP so there's no worrying.

Yes I'm new and I have done a search and like most say there are hundreds of threads on this topic. So it's 2 simple question that don't need elaborate answers and since they only produced a little under 3500 09 Z06 there probably isn't a ton of owners on here.
So here goes:
Did you have your heads checked and if so what was result.
Yes/no for the first question
Good/bad for the second one.
Yes - checked at 20K
Good - first in-spec the shop had seen! Had GM plan as backup.

No the reason you should stay away from a forum is because you can't read and respond to simple instructions.
Did I ask you for an opinion or just ask you to answer 2 simple questions. Right just answer the questions,,,now you go enjoy your holiday and while your at it take some time to understand how to respond to questions

Oh...well then you're heads good! Race on!! Drive it like you stole it!!!

Yes I've seen how helpful and nice you are to people who ask a question you guys think has been answered before.
Trust me I looked at all your helpful threads.
They go from OMG don't drive the car until you have them checked to go out and drive it and don't worry. Read them you don't' know whether to **** or get off the pot. So excuse me for trying to narrow down a select group as to make a better choice then what your suggesting.
Bummer that your living up to the reputation as all vette owners are douche bags...

Sure you did.

Again, you're off to a brilliant start...

Do you actually own a "vette"...if so, I suppose you should consider yourself a fellow douche bag.

Take a look at post #4 and tell me he wasn't trying to help you before you came across with your mile wide bad attitude. Then look carefully through the other responses to see how many veteran members here see you as rude and ungrateful. What you've managed to do in only 8 posts is alienate those who are most willing and able to help you.

You've also managed to make my highly selective and short "Ignore" list. I recommend that the others put you on theirs also.

Wow, lol I can't even utter the words here. Op is actually the one leading to the stereotype of the typical "*******" corvette owner...

My 07 had play in the valves at 18k and were replaced with shop heads....now I know that's not going to be a helpful response to the op but maybe to others it will be
