[Z06] Dyno queens step in
#22
OP, also keep in mind that every dyno reads differently. Are your goals strictly dyno numbers oriented or do you have other goals i.e. 1/4 mile? If so, I'll tell you the driver mod is the most overlooked one...believe me I would know! LOL

OK? I'm well aware of this... Dyno numbers are necessary for the physics to work to get a more desireable ET.

Maybe, however it's one of the few things I can control. I don't know why people keep trying to tell me that dyno numbers don't matter. I'm not ignorant, I know what a dyno sheet does. All I want to know is how to make more power from my current setup with some additional mods.
Don't mean to sound ungrateful, but 16 out of 24 replies in this thread had nothing to do with the original question I posted. This isn't directed towards anyone specifically but it doesn't seem that many people on this forum have any actual first hand technical knowledge of making power NA on an LS7 with pump gas (or maybe they don't want to share it).
YES I've spoken with Tony Mamo... hell, lol.
YES I'm well aware I need an MSD
YES I know that if I throw every breathing and fuel mod known to man I'll probably reach 600 but that's neither cost effective nor a streetable solution for my needs.

If your numbers are accurate, and you're looking to get there with minimal investment or changes to you combo...like I mentioned previously, a slight bump in compression and the mamofied MSD/NW 102 combo should put you in the ballpark. ****...620 on an NA LS7 with pump gas is no easy accomplishment....in fact, it was extremely rare until the mamofied MSD started pushing max effort NA builds over the 600 hp threshold.
As I said in my previous post...research other 600hp threads. Look at Josh B's previous build on a K501 and what he's doing now to surpass his 600hp mark.

Katech probably did the best test and it showed a 5hp increase the last 500 rpm or so. The stock TB doesn't fit up well to a msd intake like it does a fast so if you go with a msd I think getting a TB is slightly more justified.

Jesus....never mind. Unsubscribed.

Well seeing as the mouth on the MSD intake is 103mm, you will be restricting flow in a big way. It is literally so much bigger that guys slot their stock TB to center it on the intake because the TB itself isnt big enough to properly seal with the gasket. I think you would conservatively be killing 12hp by not buying it. They really do compliment each other. In a way he's right. 12 or so hp isn't much, but at the end of the day its going to be the cheapest 12hp you could gain in comparison to the other options. You really are to a point where you can expect between $30-$50/HP. Over 620whp, you had better sit down first.

A real dyno queen would post an image of his graph.

Agreed. I said 620whp as an overly optimistic figure. I would essentially be happy with 600 or slightly over 600. Why 600? Because 'Merica that's why.
Regarding the throttle body, I see what you mean! The red gasket is not being covered by the flange. So people slot the bolt holes and shift it upwards? That's really interesting. Could there really be that much benefit to it? I might see if I can bum an OEM TB from someone just in case I mess it up.
Ideally there would be someone selling a used ported MSD with a fast 102 tb for.... lets sayyyyyyyyy 1000$? lol I can dream can't I?
WTF? Lol, bye Felicia. Thanks for contributing.... nothing? Honestly you basically told me to trash my current setup and buy the "Corvette forum troll approved" brands and to search other totally biased build threads where nothing of actual value is ever presented.
Why do you care what I make? I told you what I make, that's all you need to know. Why are you trolling this thread?
