Default Getting Heads Fixed Around Michigan

Hey guys-

I'm looking at picking up a C6 Z06 and I'm seeing quite a few w/ original heads so trying to plan ahead and know what it will cost to fix right out of the gate. I'd love to take to AHP but I'm not down for a 30-hr roadtrip. Are there any reputable shops in the midwest? Also what should I expect to pay all in? All I want is to not have to worry about the engine chewing itself up, 500-HP is plenty for me.

Thanks!

Katech is located a little north of Detroit.

Katech is probably the only shop I'd use in Michigan. Take them off yourself and send them in to a reputable shop.

Katech or Lingenfelter should be able to get you taken care of.

I had Katech do the heads on my car this past spring. Nothing but good things to say.... except that I didn't get the 15% off... lol

Katech does it as a package on the car. Last time I checked, pulling your heads and sending them in was not an option for them.

Go with Katech. I didn't use them for my head work because I was too far away but I followed Jason's recommendations.

Locally I chose a race shop that does a lot of work for NASCAR teams and weekend competition asphalt track teams. They did all of the work from head removal to machine work to head installation. One stop shopping the way I like it.

Katech does great work as do We.
We both have slightly different approaches and ideology's to the Ls7 head rework and both have great reputations as well as a few other vendors and forum sponsors. Thats the nice thing when it comes to your Ls7 you have some really good options out there. Do you research and find out which is best for you as an individual and go with that.

If you have any questions you can always give us a call 310-326-2399
or email HP@americanheritageperformance.com we are always glad to answer questions anyone may have.
