Default I'm going "rat rod" style...

...at least for my tail pipes.

Check out these images:

I made up these extensions because I thought they'd go better with all the black trim on a Z06 w Z07. I did that for my C6 Z06 Blog over on the CAC. I can't say the site's name or post the URL because CF rules prohibit doing so, but you can search for <rat rod tailpipes C6 ownership blog> and probably find it.

I figure people are going to love 'em or hate 'em.

Let me know what you think.

I'm diggin' them. I like the satin black finish. And if you have other black accents on the car it probably goes well. How do they attach? Is there a set screw or did you heat them up?

I have the black coated B&B Bullets on mine, goes with my black roof/halo, side skirts, front splitter and spoiler. Best part of having black tips is not having to clean them as often as chrome ones lol.

Hi Hib
I think they look great! Would go great with my silver Z and all the black accents I have. Should stop by and see them. Take care Ed

Not my cup of tea, but I've seen worse! You should at least paint the inside of the 'extensions' and put the seam of the pipe on the bottom.

They are a tight slip fit. For my initial test before painting, I pushed them on but could not get two of them all the way.

After I baked them the final time they were still hot so they slide on easy then tightened up.

There's more info on my C6 Ownership Experience Blog on that other site. Search for C6 Ownership Blog Rat Rod Pipes and you'll probably find it.

Spray painted mine with black high heat engine paint. The chrome pipes look too foreign to me. Have black wheels also.

That was my first idea but then I decided I wanted to not only have the pipes blacked-out but have them extending out more, so I ordered those connector pipes.
