Got the c6 for sale section, and look at the ads.
I guess it also all depends on your definition of acceptable mileage and what is low/med/high mileage. High to me is >80k.

I thought that was the one. "Final price drop $29,000" the ad says. You said, "With nice 06-07s 2lZs with similar mileage going for 27-28k". This silver car doesn't have similar miles lol. It has 32,000 more miles, which isn't far from double the mileage this orange one has. Also, he's only owned it a year. Who knows how many owners that car had. I'm buying this orange car from the original owner who said it never spent a night outside. I only paid $1500 more than this silver cars bottom dollar for a car with a newer transmission (I have no preference but I've seen many buyers who prefer the newer transmission), and a color that is the least produced next to white in '07, and a dark red in '08. I actually like silver personally, and kind of wanted a silver Z, but I think more people prefer orange than silver. That surely drives a cars price a little too.

Yes, orange is a slightly better deal.
There have been plenty of others with 40-50k for 28-29k. My point was it took <30 seconds to find that one on 1st page of the for sale page. Give a month worth of searching and I'm sure you can find one with 40-50k miles for 28-29k, as many many many people do.

If you really want a good deal, the sure fire way, and how so many people out here get good deals is to hook up with the foreign students at college. They come here, all buy new vettes, z06s, zr1s, ctsvs, gtrs, etc. Drive them for 2-4 years while in college, then when they move back out of country, they have to hurry up and sell them. That is where most of the smoking good deals I've seen come from. Around graduation time at ASU you just find the foreign students, and they are unloading super nice cars cheap.

I think you got a GREAT deal for a clean 1-owner 08Z. Some of these low prices being stated here, I didn't see anything like that when it comes to Z06's. Granted, I was mostly looking at very low mileage cars with work done & heads addressed.

OP, you got a great deal! Enjoy the car!
I'd like to know what Unreal thinks a 2010 Cyber Gray 3LZ Z06 with 20k miles, NAV, Titanium 2 tone seats and comp gray spyder wheels is worth.

Considering we are seeing the 2013s still under warranty for 45-46k, I couldn't see paying over that for a 2010.

That's the same as what I'm seeing. I hope that can put to rest the numbers being questioned.
BTW, the car I just described is the one I purchased recently for 39k

When I was shopping just a few months back (And I had been looking every single day for about 3 months or more) people here would have asked high 40's for that 2010 you got. You got a great deal.

I searched every day since July, determining early on that same purchase price range as Unreal stated. From that point on, it just takes time to find one for that price or one that is willing to drop into that range.
The numbers Unreal stated are numbers you should target as the final purchase price. The asking prices are a very different story indeed, as you have seen.
The OP's deal, which is a good one, lands in the upper side of the low end for the range where you should have been price wise. Good job!
Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that the 2010 I got was a 1 owner car as well

I think thats kind of the point. People are and still will be asking high 40s for a 2010. Those cars will sit, and people will buy 2012-2013s for that price, or spend $5k more and get a zr1.
