You would be getting a SMOKING DEAL at 31k, but real dollars will be in the 33-35k range, imo.
FWIW, I'm closing the deal on a one owner cyber grey 09, 2lz, with 30k miles for $37k. It's not the BEST deal, but it's certainly the best color, and the interior I want. I do add value for a one owner car because many c6z's have had 5+ owners.

I always wonder why the color is a no deal when buying a corvette! I see lots of people over spending for a certain color.

Along your logic, why do some of us prefer blondes and others brunettes? Tastes and preferences mean something and when buying a car that usually means spending a little more

This is a great deal! Just goes to show there out there if your patient. I just bought an 07" for $31,700 with 69,900k which is in really nice shape and got 1 of the colors i wanted. But congrats on great find!!!!!

It took me 2 years to find the Z I wanted, for the price I was willing to give. And I looked almost daily on numerous websites. I guess I'm too picky. Again to the OP...I think you got a smokin deal. You don't see the orange cars very often. Congrats.
