You would be getting a SMOKING DEAL at 31k, but real dollars will be in the 33-35k range, imo.
FWIW, I'm closing the deal on a one owner cyber grey 09, 2lz, with 30k miles for $37k. It's not the BEST deal, but it's certainly the best color, and the interior I want. I do add value for a one owner car because many c6z's have had 5+ owners.
Nothing wrong with "old tranny". Many actually prefer it.
I would say 32-33ish for this car. It is a 1lZ which hurts value and 44k miles is kind of mid range. You can get a nice lower mileage 08-09 2lz for 34-35k, so paying the same for a higher mile 1lz seems silly unless you just have to have this car.
How much is he asking. I paid 34 last year for my AO 2lz 45k miles.. it was clean for high miles but it was in my price range for a weekend car.. Also not many AO for sale around me at the time. I know I needed to get heads fixed plus other add ones, so it worked for me.

I'm giving $30,500 for the car. Had it inspected thoroughly today. Its spotless. Its a wealthy guy moving away and needs it gone.

Well then I'm getting a smoking deal! I twisted his arm hard and got him down to $30,500. Car gets picked up on Thursday! Super clean car!
