I joined the fraternity...
Well, as of late last night I finally secured myself a Z06.
She is a 2007 1LZ, LeMans Blue, 9400 miles, newer Michelin Pilot Super Sports, well documented and maintained AZ car.....very excited.
A couple side perks, it has a new Stoptech ST60/40 Big Brake kit all around, which is the kit that the LG Motorsports guys run on their racecars. The factory calipers and rotors are also included. Also comes with a brand new GM Z06 car cover. Other than that she's bone stock.
She'll be garaged until mid-April, at that point I will need to address the heads. Now for the good part.......

Thanks everyone, much appreciated. I'm excited, I've owned a few LSx GM cars, but this is my first Vette. I've loved the C6 Z06 since they were released.

Very nice! I love and I think I will always love, just like a 67' 427 with side-pipes and that big stinger hood, a wide-body C6 Corvette! Since you have the original rotors/calipers you might consider swapping out the StopTech kit and going back to OE (made by PBR) as they look so good (and say Corvette on them) and otherwise function just fine! Put some AutoZone ceramics padletts in for a little over $100 and they will give you a lot less brake dust than the OE pads, and come with a lifetime warranty.
You could then sell the StopTech brakes and put that $$ towards rebuilding the heads correctly. Don't be intimidated by the heads, the issue is to the point as to where there is enough data out there so that it shouldn't prevent someone who is otherwise interested in the marvel that is the C6 Z06 from buying, nor should it prevent an owner from selling. Check out the LS7 article called Ruthless Pursuit of Power to learn more about the engine and it's legacy, and I would recommend American Heritage Performance as a great place to begin researching on what you can have them do to your heads to solve the problem.

Ahh it was you!!! You outbid me with like 3 seconds left. Definitely a great deal, I was super bummed to miss out on it. I'm glad it's going to someone here though and not a dealer that will try to resell it.
Help me sleep better tonight, what did you have your max bid set at? I was going to go up to $34k because shipping to me was another $1500+ but left it at $33,500 because there was no action.

Yeah, I watched it and corresponded with the seller all week. I made a move right in the final seconds. PM sent.....

Welcome, they are great cars. Are you here in AZ? If so there are quite a few of us on the chat board. There are also a lot of performance events available in the southwest if you are interested in doing them.
