116 cam all the way!!!
We have our version called the CA116 cam that we use in combination with our ported heads.
As Outhouse mentioned its awesome!!! great low end usable HP and TQ. With a good tune it drives like stock till you put your foot down into it.
Our ported package 4 heads and our CA116 cam = Good To Go!!!
Every customer we have either sold one of our CA116 cams to or installed one for has been 100% satisfied with their decision.
We stock our Package 4 LS7 core heads, our CA116 cams and all the lifters, bolts and gaskets required to properly complete the swap.

Melting Slicks
I am going to have my heads done by AHP. Thinking about putting in a mild cam with street manners. Will be running stock exhaust with a Calloway CAI. Do you think that this cam will leave the line like a stock or close to it without surging? I know the idle and torque will be different which I don't mind. Anyone running this set up? If so, how does it work for you? It is a street driven Z. Appreciate your responses.

Used cams no matter how good they are are always a roll of the dice. I had issues doing that once when I was much younger and would never do it again... new cams are not that expensive with new lifters for what you are getting. Its just the install if you are a DIY and the tune etc.

I'd never buy a used cam/lifters/springs/etc. Stuff isn't that expensive new.
