If you expect to run high speeds (120+), you will want to install the splitter reinforcement behind the front fascia to give the front grill opening some added strength to handle the added downforce the ZR1 style splitter will generate.
Please do this. I rarely exceed speeds over 120+ mph and the ZR1 splitter still caused my front bumper to sag. There was a gap between the middle of the grill and lower part of the bumper. See my post here: https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...rill-area.html
The reinforcement fixed it up and made it feel a LOT more secure. Highly recommended.
