Default Rpm or hpa?

So I'll be having one of them install ported and polished heads along with a cam in the next month. Both seem to have great reputations in the community. Main difference I've noticed in conversation with both companies is that rpm uses AI 285 heads and hpa uses PRC 265 heads. Not sure there's too much of a difference, but maybe some members have done work with both companies and have better opinions than I've formed.

Between those two rpm all day. Fran and those guys know what they're doing for sure. They have been around forever and have a proven track record.

Lmao. Who the hell is HPA and how can you compare AI to PRC??

Stick with a winning combo. RPM and AI

RPM has one of the most proven reputations in the entire tristate area. The results that come out of that shop are second to none. Dyno numbers are good but they always have track results to back there packages. RPM for sure.

I made the mistake of not going with the right shop. Now my Z06 is in Frans shop having all of the previous mistakes corrected. Do it once and let RPM be the choice.

Never heard of this human papillomavirus auto clinic before... that said, rpm & Fran have serviced my car years & continue to do so. As far as the prc & ai comparison the later decision is also the recommended choice & conveniently enough the actual performance shop with an actual show room, customer lounge, fabrication room, dyno room & more lifts than aspen Colorado happens to offer AI heads as well.

Hope this paints a clear & confident choice for your to take your car too.

RPM all day. Their heads/cam setup with a 6-speed C6Z has been 9.81 @141 MPH. That holds much more value than a dyno sheet.

Default Horsepower Addicts

HPA is Horsepower Addicts located in St Georges Delaware. Knowledgeable, top quality work, very clean shop, dyno on premises. They can handle any "LS' upgrade. We drove 3 different vehicles there from Chesapeake, VA for various upgrade packages, results - 3 happy owners.

Thanks for the responses, hpa is horse power addicts in Delaware as mentioned above. I had definitely been leaning towards rpm but this solidifies that thought.

I personally don't go to either of them even being semi local I'd choose else where. While hpa has an unproven track record what appeals to some about it is that it isn't such a high cost in comparison to rpm. I've seen lots of folks go to rpm and get taken for a ride lots and lots of money spent for mediocre parts and end numbers. You are DEFINITELY paying for the name and the success of other cars when you go there. Quality work at a decent price is hard to find but not impossible. That being said if you don't mind paying a premium and you are educated then rpm is a good choice. Just remember you can say no to the up selling and the "add ons" that always seem to appear.

RPM > HPA

I had a horrible experience with Josh and HPA with my 08 Z06 when they did my blower install and would never recommend them to anyone

Can you elaborate? There isn't much info on HPA, but I've only seen positive. This is the first time I've heard a negative review.

I gave them a deposit for a cam swap, as they are running a deal which I think can't be beat:

https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...at-1700-a.html

I've exchanged several IM's with Josh and he seems great, but now I am a little concerned.

Honestly, I'd prefer to go to the Vette Doctors, local to me, it's just they are so dang expensive.

AND.... another one here. Dont get the sarcasm from those that have no knowledge. Small companies or ones that dont spend alot on ads, doesnt mean they arent competent.
