It seems that it was not this 650+ Vette.

I’ll try and do so more runs to see if we actually leave next to each other but to be honest if you notice how i slowly gain on him I doubt I would pull away any faster than that if we left together.

Im pretty sure that a notchback fox body is lighter than a c6z. I feel like the results of that roll race are probably about right if power for both cars is as advertised.

Full weight notch is 3100-3200 and with a heavier 5.0 and a blower maybe 33-3400.

They are roughly the same weight with the Fox having the advantage.

Im sure its making killer power, but not that much.

Put it on a DynoJet and Ill pay for the pull if it comes within 5hp RW SAE. Thats how confident Im.

I know 2 people who have dynod within 5whp on that same superflow and 2 different local dynojets. So I'd say you'd be paying for his dyno pulls then......

Thanks for the info. Good to know my numbers aren’t inflated. Which I had no doubt they were not

If they are real numbers that is definitely impressive, you still have a 650+ rwhp dyno sheet in the end lol. That matters to some and to some it does not.

I believe that man, my buddy told me what he spent on a Mamo setup and I was blown away. I am trying to hit the Speed Addicts one in GA, that may be the one you are talking about in October. It will be that or a Wannagofast in Ocala. You should definitely see 165+. I am hoping for 160 lol.

Guys,

The numbers are REAL.....end of discussion.

The dyno that this car rolled on sees a good percentage of the cars in the Bay area and its an excellent facility for testing.

Eclipsing 600 RWHP on this dyno is no joke and we blew that number away with this build by a large margin (closer to 700 RWHP than 600 RWHP)

Also lets not forget there are a dozen other builds (or more) documented on this very forum with Mamo Motorsports LS7 packages making 630 to 650 RWHP and most of these have set 3rd party independent records on the dyno's they have rolled on.

Matt Gower almost exclusively uses this dyno for the majority of his tuning and confirmed a stock C6Z makes 440 - 445 RWHP so its not giving away the number at all and the 200+ RWHP gains we saw with this build are legit.

More proof of that right here....

More importantly I also had the privilege of driving this car a couple weeks ago and let me tell you it flat out rips.....in the lower gears you need to really be prepared for the instant fury this combination hits you with. There is zero lag....its like a possessed race horse that you have kicked when you let the reigns out and it is at 7K+ almost instantly.

I've driven a handful of the LS7 Mamo Motorsports cars built locally and while they were all very fast (all in the low or low/mid 600's), I feel Jacob's had a slightly more explosive nature to it. Honestly I think the difference was partially at least attributed to my modified / lightened RPS clutch (I call it the Holy Grail clutch) that was also installed recently. In fact I drove Jacob's car 6 or so months ago when it was around 620-630 HP before the revamp of the heads and the different cam and slight bump in compression and now with all those upgrades including the new clutch.....let me tell you it feels significantly stronger and more explosive (I was blown away honestly by the ferocity the new package exhibited).

I have no doubt this car will lay down some serious MPH in the 1/2 mile or mile events (and with good driving in the quarter as well but the 1/4 is much more challenging and an experienced driver and well sorted out car is much more important to lay down an impressive ET and trap speed).

You really have to be a good driver to harness this type of power delivery on the street and the right tires become paramount as well. Thankfully he is running the 345 NT05R Nittos which is a really good working tire that continues to impress me (just installed a set on my 700 RWHP/ 700 RWTQ 2nd Gen CTS-V).

Jacob....I have an extremely accurate GPS based performance timer that most of the magazines use and rely on (Automobile, Road and Track, Car and Driver etc.). Find a stretch of road that we can blast a half mile on and not go directly to jail and the next time Im up your way we can get together and see what it does. We can do a quarter mile blast also (easier to find a location for that) but on the street (basically and un prepped surface), the quarter mile figures are much more negatively impacted by the lack of traction launching and difficulty applying power in the lower gears. BUT....I bet spinning the tires and fighting for traction the first few seconds of the journey this car still traps in the high 130's. Based on other Z's off the same dyno you rolled on this car should trap low 140's all day with so so driving and nothing special for air quality. With some decent air (lower D/A ) and some good driving Im confident this car could run 143 -144 in the quarter.

Enjoy it....learn how to drive it properly....and at some point lets get the car to the track. But if your interested in a preview of its potential on the street let me know and I will bring the timer along the next time I'm up your way

Its a wicked fast car and the chance of you lining up next to anything N/A and losing is slim to none.....and as you have already seen even boosted cars will have their hands full keeping up with you

Cheers,
Tony

Yes I definitely need some seat time with this car. Have to adjust my clutch stop and also the transmission doesn’t like going into third to much. Going to be looking into that. Maybe a new transmission is in order. Not sure yet. The car is definitely a blast. Just got done doing a nice third gear pull into 4th.😀 I also just installed new front tires today and so far a huge difference in how the car drives. I went from new MPSS 285/30/19 to MPS4S 275/30/19 before the car was tracking like crazy and was getting a slight vibration when hitting bumps on freeway. Car feels solid now.
