Default Alignment Specs for slicks?

I'll preface this with I do not understand suspension geometry and settings as much as I would like to at this time. However, I am completing a 15" rear conversion this weekend and I'm looking for feedback on alignment specs.

Car is 610-615rwhp on motor and low 800s on the bottle. I will be spraying it out of the hole, but the ramp it yet to be determined on this new setup. I have 26" MT ET Drags on the rear with all factory suspension.

Lay it on me.

I do not know actual alignment specs, but i have heard of guys aligning the car while simulating a launch to get the best coverage of rubber to the ground. Maybe someone can elaborate on this.

Most go with anywhere from zero camber to slightly positive camber to account for squat with zero toe. The more squat, the more positive camber will help. Factory shocks don't squat as well as adjustables so I would say somewhere around +0.2? Sorry, I don't have a more scientific answer for you.

I run around +0.2 camber. Zero toe. Best way would be to ratchet strap the car down on the rack to the height it squats and align it there, but if not, a little positive is a good place to start.

Is that 0.2 degrees or 0.2 inches?

Whatever they measure camber in. I believe degrees.

Unreal is correct, camber is measured in degrees. I would set the toe slightly IN unless you have spherical control arm bushings. There will be enough deflection in the rubber bushings to put you back at zero during acceleration. Excessive toe out in the rear will give you high speed instability(wobbling, wondering).

Im not 100% sure how the bump steer curve goes on the rear of a C6 but I'm almost sure it's OUT as the suspension compresses. I will try to verify later.
Also I'm not saying the above advice will yield better traction, just be mindful of how ill handling a car with toe out can be. It's certainly a setting I would creep up on.

I do my own alignment and its easier to measure in inches. I did the math and 0.2 degrees calculates to .06 inches which is exactly 1/16 inch.

what specs did you windup going with , I just did the same thing ..15" conversion on mt et drag . I did a quick alignment myself on the rear being that the lg drag spindles throw it way out of wack . I'm at zero toe and +2 camber rt now but I think I wanna get the car on a rack and stimulate a launch and align it that way .

Without lg monoballs I would keep some toe in it. Made the mistake of zero toe on stock bushings and it definately makes the car loose and wander under power.

Yes that's what I'm experiencing now at zero toe , car is walking hard when I jump on it . I'll to toe it in a little and see . Thanks man . How about your camber ?

Mine is around +1. Tires are wearing even, drives nice like that. Camber will just depend, you need to find what works for you.

Were you able to verify the bump steer? Toe in still the right option?
