Default C6Z06 H/C/I build by AHP

Hello everyone wanted to start a thread of my build and experience with American Heritage Performance. Initially took my car down last summer to have them perform there Package 4 head package to be safe. Kohle was awesome to deal with answered all my emails and questions I had for him along the way. While it was down there I had him port the heads as well as my stock tb. Once all was put back together I had him dyno tune it on the dynapak they use it made 530/500. I was very happy with it and I knew it was safe and reliable.

Stock heads removed before they performed the package 4 setup

After driving it through the summer I knew I wanted to keep the mods coming. So I saved up and bought a set of Kooks 1 7/8 headers and a catless midpipe, MSD intake manifold, Halltech MF103 intake, BTR IV Cam, C7R timing chain, along with the associated ARP hardware to complete everything. I provided a cover for the car (The shop is next to a landscaping business so gets dusty) it was on the car from when I dropped it off till complete aside from the front obviously. During the teardown found my passenger side motor mount leaking so Kohle informed me and threw in a set he had in stock. After everything was complete he did a very soft street tune and worked alot on idle and low speed driveability. Parking lots are no issue idles along with no gas like stock which is great for that cam. I'm waiting to get an appointment for a full tune and at that time I will update the final numbers of what it makes.

Dirty cradle when it was pulled

Kohle pressure washed the cradle after. Looks brand new

Old cam coming out

All the goodies

Finished product. I like the unshaved look of the MSD personally ties in with the red hinson spark plug sleeves

Can't say thank you enough to Kohle and his team. If anyone needs work done on their Z06 or any LS platform get in touch with them.

Mod List:
AHP Package 4 head package (Ported)
BTR Stage IV Cam
C7R Timing Chain
BTR .660 Spring kit Titanium Retainers
Halltech MF103
FIC 72# Injectors
Ported MSD Intake
NW 102TB Black
Kooks 1 7/8 Headers
Catless Mid Pipe
Corsa Axleback
MGW Shifter

Here's a link to a cold start and idle video.

Thanks for reading everyone

Yea Cunningham motorsports dyno reads very low same setup cars as mine plus e85 see 605ish. He says add 5% to whatever it gives you. I just want his tuning expertise it's just a number end of the day

Gotcha. I'm glad you said that or else I would be second-guessing the stage 2 cam that I'm awaiting for my upcoming build. I'm having the heads shipped to Kohle as well. He has helped me a lot over the phone and always easy to deal with! If and when it becomes the wknd warrior, I think I know what cam to go with!

very nice.. sounds mean!
Any issues with the car being too loud, cops? emissions etc? ... I've been contemplating on tearing into my Z and getting some mods done..

I'm stationed in California so when I got the car I registered it back home which has no emissions and I don't get messed with. Most of the cops give me a thumbs up

Nice build! Kohle does great work, as does Ryne. Ryne did the vast majority of work on my old C5Z as well as some work to my C6Z. Kohle did the heads on my C6Z just prior to me leaving SoCal. Highly recommend both...cant go wrong with either of those guys.

Any plans for a NW102?

Yea I have a few buddies that Ryne built and tuned their C6Z's nothing but praise from both places. I mean if you have the fastest standing 1/2 mile N/A vette you gotta be doing something right. I want to get a NW102 it honestly just wasn't in the budget right now. I know I'm leaving a few hp on the table but something I can add down the road.
