Check them all you want... Just don't void your warranty by addressing any wiggle you find.

You guys are so dramatic. This isn't a life and death situation. I've seen so many failures on this forum and many took place at idle while sitting in a guys driveway or a red light.

To say this is something that will kill you, give me one example of a Z06 engine blowing up and causing secondary damage to either the car of the person driving it or any deaths caused by it. I don't recall one case.

and no, track time doesn't count as there is very little excuse to be doing 125+mph on the street.

Howdy bud. Yes it has. I check in now and then to see if anything groundbreaking has been found.

Yes, I remember you and I having a discussion about that decision on getting the 2013. A very good move and I am sure you sleep WAY better knowing your covered.

My path is to leave the car completely stock and have warranty coverage during my ownership. A pretty simple concept.

Me defending my position on the matter is also another simple concept. Lmao
Have your Heads checked!!!!!!!! Then buy your warranty!!!! You will reduce the potential of Engine Shrapnel violating your firewall and impaling your leg.............I had my Heads redone at 4yrs/6,000 miles.... You are asking for our opinions....You have mine!!

If these motors were powering airplanes the FAA would ground them, but in GM's eyes it is not a problem.

My $0.02.

Still obviously cheaper than a new motor.
I agree, I've checked with several trusted shops and back up your comments of $2,500-$4,500.

Kinda fitting you revived this thread today, my new heads are ordered and hopefully on the way within a week or so. Heard some loud ticking noises from the motor Friday while on base, low speed first gear, shut it down pretty quick, never had any codes thrown and all gauges and pressure where solid. My shop got the into the motor today......here ya go OP, 16k miles. now this obviously isn’t a “stock” vette, and I wouldn’t have done these mods without addressing the heads but some other shop was happy to do this set up for the prior owner. I haven’t owned it long, 3 months, limited driving, no track hits or dyno pulls and put my order into AHP last month. 5 broke valve springs😳

If 5 valve springs broke, then something was seriously off. Install height, binding, overrev, preload, etc.
