Hey guys,

Just a heads up that we have a new video for the c6 MGW shifter.

The installation now combines all the steps and integrates the lower box and alignment tool in one video.,

also we have some cool new shift **** options releasing VERY soon.

Glad to see new content is still being made for C6s, however I found your original videos to be more informational. Thank you for making this, and the previous videos.

The commentary about the difference between years, I suppose, is what I was missing. You did mention (with text) that some bolts are 7mm and some are T15, and that some shifters had chrome rings. I didn't find removing the oem box or installing the console to be particularly problematic, but my comments were based upon a recollection of watching your videos from a year ago. You also made it abundantly clear that it's easy to damage the threads on the console lid cover. I've been very careful with mine, but I've also had to pull pieces of the threads off the bolts using hand tools.

You obviously answer the phone or email account when someone has questions, so you probably know better than me what was missing.

BTW, do you have any tips in restoring the threads on the console lid if someone was too aggressive? I haven't pulled any particle board out, but some plastic has come out over the multiple times I've had the console out. I feel like dropping some epoxy in a hole and wrapping a bolt with teflon tape may help restore some clamping force.

I also had to shave the **** shaft for my stock C6 **** to fit low enough to install the screw in the lower bolt hole. I still have to hammer the **** on with my hand even after grinding the rubber overlay and MGW **** shaft. I'm interested to see what ***** you'll be releasing soon but I suspect I'll need the threaded **** shaft anyway.

Good to know. This is probably my next mod once I complete the heads & cam install.

Damn it. I swore I would stop spending money on my Z for a few months, but I'm so tempted to do an MGW.... Ugh.

Dammit ...lol..you just made me realize i didn't add a note about the 2 holes. I will have to re upload this thing tonight lol...

The 2 holes are for the 2 different ***** the 2005-2007 use one hole and the 2008-2013 ***** go in the other hole. they are really not designed to go in one or the other. I dont know why GM changed it .

As far as the lid , I would think epoxy would be a great option.

I consider the MGW shifter one of the best modifications I've made to my 06 ZO6.

I stripped the threads in my console lid after taking it off a few times. Easy fix, fill the bad hole(s) with epoxy and re drill.

In to see the new shift **** options. I'm running the race **** and it's fantastic for, well, racing, but would consider something else for cruising around.

MGW was the best bang for the buck mod to my Z.

Best bang for your buck for any C5 or C6 in my opinion.

Is there any benefit to having the billet box? I have the MGW shifter with stock box and it works great with no issues.

I do too and I have a ton of mods! The only thing that I do to my car more than shift gears is look at it. I thoroughly enjoy this mod dozens and dozens of times every time I drive!
