Default My AHP expeience

I wanted to share with you guy's & gal's my purchasing experience with American heritage Performance.

I recently purchased their stage 4 LS7 heads package which included lifters, porting, polishing, milling .0030 as well as the gasket & ARP bolt package. I additionally purchased a set of Yella Terra roller rockers.

After my mechanic pulled my heads he called me to say I had better come over to look at this. To my surprise at least 4 of the lobes on the cam (Comp cam sorry don't know the specs) were pretty far gone.

I called Kohle and he recommended the BTR stage 4 cam and he shipped it next day air (pretty pricey but it's only money) and had it installed as well.

After the install was completes I took the car (2006 Z06) to Lashway Motorsports in Ft Lauderdale, FL to have it properly tuned. I did a lot of research for tuners in SW FL and none had the pedigree that Lashway did. The Google reviews (hundreds) were all positive. Josh did a fantastic job and it made 575 RWHP 488 torque on a mustang dyno.

I can't say enough good things about AHP and Kohle for taking the time to call me back to tell me when they received my cores and tore them down they inspected the guides. More than half were out of spec and one was severely out. This car has never seen and will never see a race track. it is exclusively a show car and I'm glad I did the heads/cam swap.

Curious why you chose that aggressive of a cam for a show-car only?

Honestly no reason in particular. AHP has such a great reputation and I told him it's only a show car but he said I would be happy with the menacing sound & performance..... He was spot on!

Gotcha. I concur on the sound! I doubt the internet videos do it any justice.

AHP - still the best in customer service.

However, I would be nervous about running the YT's with that cam.. I would not spin it past 6K if I were you.

If you wanted to go with a roller-tipped rocker (geat idea BTW) I would have gone with a heavier-duty full rail system (yes, more money) that can take the spring pressures required to control the additional mass and agressive cam lobe profile at high RPM.

But hey, if you are just cruising around and short-shifting, it might be fine for many miles.

OEM rockers would have done the job as well.

Thank you for the thread and the feedback on the forum!
Nice numbers 575rwhp/488rwtq on a mustang dyno are very good numbers.

It was great working for/with you and helping you through your build.
Thank you very much for your business!
Also the pics of your car... Nice ride!!!!

We went with the BTR stage 4 cam because we wanted an extremely mean sounding show car that would turn heads before you could even see it. We also wanted some get up and go (for the drive to and from the shows).
We have installed several sets of LS7 YT's over the last year and havent had any issues with them. They are not crower T&D or Jesel but they are not a bad rocker arm for the correct application.

Thank you again for your business and if you ever need anything let me know.

If anyone else anyone else wants a solid head and cam package backed by some of the best support in the industry give us a call:

What an awesome testimony... Pretty much spot on w what I am wanting to do to my car. Minus the BTR4 cam... Sounds like a beast and judging by your avatar a gorgeous C6Z... Definitely show and go! May I ask how many miles were on your car?

Thanks Matt I appreciate it. I have 47,000 show miles on my ride I don't know how they accumulate so quickly especially for just weekends and only when it's nice out.

If your on the fence about doing it i say go for it. Anybody would be hard pressed to find a better company to do business with!
