Just do whatever makes you happy WRT your Corvette. I had a supercharged C5Z that I drove every day, even when it was raining, and put 200,000 miles on it in 12 years that I owned it. I just enjoyed driving it so much more than our SUV or Prius, that I drove it every chance that I got, including several trips from San Diego to Las Vegas.

Other people, like you, enjoy seeing their Corvette all shiny in their garage, keeping the miles low. I don't get that at all, but then many don't understand why I'd put a couple hundred thousand miles on my Corvette. Whatever floats your boat.

Totally agree with me of the other posts in that it doesn't matter if I drive it or not. Having it makes me happy, looking at it all shinny in the garage and driving on occasion is fine. That's why it's not a daily driver. I just wanted a Corvette. Driving it a lot is not a justification for having it and I am looking at this as a collector car purchase before they become collectible. Bought mine last year and it's a 2006 Z. However, the ZR1 would have been better as a collector car. I have just under 2,500 miles on it.
8 year old Z06s with 2-5K miles command maybe $2-4K more than one in good condition with 35K miles. It is foolish to think that the depreciation gain would offset the enjoyment of driving the car. Find some performance events in your area and go out and enjoy the Z.

They made 30,000 of these (5000+ MY 2006), unless very special (S/N 001 etc) they will not be collector cars that command big $.

Lol I've put more than 13,000 miles on my 2011 Z06 since I bought it 8 months ago. Ive autocrossed it, drag raced in the 1/4 and 1/2 mile as well as road raced. It's my daily driver and I driven in rain, sleet, snow and hail. To me it's fast, good looking car and holds no collectors premium.

I agree. My 2006 Z06 (bought brand new) is my daily driver and now has 126k miles. I live in MN so don't even get to drive it all year, typically in storage for 4 to 5 months.

I bought my '13 Z in January with 8995 miles on it.

I rolled over 21000 yesterday. I've enjoyed every minute of it.

And when I've had my fun, she can go and I'll do it all again with the next one. There is no wrong answer here. Do what you love.

If youre debating it just dump it car isnt "doing it" for ya
Nothing wrong with keeping something around to play in once in awhile but this weird thing of buying your dream car then intentionally NOT driving it ie "saving it" makes no sense to me at all. Why?
Thats like marrying a 10 and not putting it down cause youre worried about the next suckers experience .HUH? LOL

Pick any yr vette there will always be low mile examples out there for you to choose from, finding a replacement wont be hard.

If you stored it for 40 yrs you may find out it may or may not be collectible thats a long time. Add up the cost of maintenance, insurance etc youd still lose money. these are money pits, use them up.
