Default Good deal?

Thinking of pulling the trigger in a 1400 2011 ZR1. It's a 3ZR car, 1400 miles, Supersonic blue, black interior. I know the original owner, and the car is spotless!

What's she worth?

Also, I have a 427 convertible with mods that puts down 540 to the wheels...how much different is the ZR1 than the 427 other than one being a convertible?

Thanks for the help guys!

Gotta be the one that Reggie has over at Jim Ellis. As I understand it they won't go below 67k. For one that clean and low mileage it does not sound that unreasonable to me. I heard someone offered 65 but they said no.

It is and I did...offered $65,000 for it and he said nope.

Debating on buying this car or going for one that my wife can drive and enjoy. She really really wants a Long Beach Red C7. If I buy this car, no C7 for at least 6 months.

Agreed...100%. She won't drive a manual though. Can't blame her with the traffic that we have around here.

IMO, 67K for what you are describing would be a steal. Yeah, I'm biased but I truly believe that's a great deal.

I bought a 2010 3ZR with 3600 miles on it a few months ago and paid in the low $60s. So, this one sounds more than fair at $67k. As far as the ZR1 vs the C7, I would buy the ZR1 now and then take care of the wife in six months with a C7. Plenty of C7s out there, but finding a ZR1 with 1400 miles is going to be difficult to replicate later.

Just my opinion! Good luck with your decision.

I have both a ZR1 and a 427 Vert.

The 427 will not even come close to that SC-ZR1 Motor.

I would not pay more then 64k for thats car. Seeing low mile 10's in high 50ties to 60k. It will sit for longer then you think for 67k.

$67k sounds like a good price, but only you can determine if it is worth it.

As far as comparing the modified 427 convertible to the ZR1. They are going to feel different. I had a 500 rwhp C5 (stroked LS2) with 3.73 gears when I bought my ZR1. The ZR1 pulls more steady and the power is smoother. After 3 months, I ended up selling my C5, that I had planned to keep forever (had it 10 years since it was brand new).

My advice would be to look at the incentives on the C7 right now. If the incentives are good enough get the C7 now. If not, maybe you can get the ZR1 now and get a left over 2017 at a huge discount 6 months from now. I bought my 2016 Long Beach Red Z06 in November at a 20% discount off sticker.

With that low miles, in that color I say grab it! If you are willing to go $65K whats another $2K? Do it!

Because I like to feel I got them off their asking price...got a deal...whatever you want to call it.

I know what they put in the car.

Wife wanting/needing an auto is understandable.
But it also begs the question: do A8 issues, or TC actually (tranny proper appears solid) concern you?

Owners reporting failures @ C7 cover MYs 14/15/17 and do not paint a pretty picture of the experience.
While many A8 failures are reported, it's not all but owning a C7 A8 is a gamble.

FWIW drove a '16 CTS turbo 4 A8.
Fabulous drive. Smooth, precise and fast A8's a significant advancement in AT tech...providing, it works.
If it doesn't though headaches galore, ergo gamble.

I guess they should have asked $70K so that you would have felt like $67K was a good negotiation...

I think that's a car that will be tough to find with the low miles it has...very fair price and beautiful car IMHO.

Good luck with your decision...

I could be wrong, but it looks like they bumped the price to $72,000. That's what I was seeing today when searching.

I love how some people say i got this car for that so...blah blah blah. A super low mile car for half price is not a bad deal.
Just think, someone paid 120k give or take 10k, drove 10 miles a month so the OP could buy the car at 50% off and be the one to actually drive and enjoy it. Im doing the same with mine, 10 with 14k miles bought in December and now im at 20k miles loving it.

I know the original owner of this car personally...the man has impeccable tastes in cars and keeps them very well maintained.

That said...a picture is worth 638HP.
