Tire Size.
Hey fellas, I know it has been discussed before I have read many threads about 28" vs 26" tires I am looking for the hard core drag race guys to share results of them switching to and from a 26/28" tires and what their MPH differences were.
I have played with this myself before I did the 4l60 swap and I took my car to the track (Cecil County Dragway) Now that I have the LVL X RPM 4l60 we made 2 shake down passes off idle and foot braking the car to around 1800-2000 rpm's. These passes netted me a 1.41 (idle) 60' and a 1.38 (foot brake 2000rpm) 60' on a 28" pro bracket drag radial. Both passes were 9.77@140.xx (idle) and a 9.73@139.8x (2000rpm foot brake).
Question is with my 3.42 gears can/will my mph go up and what have others personally experienced? Not looking for theories actual track tested and proven results.... Car made 604/517 (locked) on a dynojet I have mounted the 235/60-15 Hoosier now for the 26" tire and waiting for it to not be 100 degrees out to test. The above passes were in +800-900 DA
Thanks!!!
