Yes, I know they are fiberglass and weigh more but OEM's are getting harder to find and wicked expensive especially if it's a driver. Even bigger problem is wheelhouses. Right now right front is no longer available for any C6 and there seems to be a extensive waiting list for used ones.
Aftermarket fenders only work if you have a wheelhouse to bolt it to. Why has no one in the aftermarket fiberglass industry seen the need for this. Look at the insurance auto auctions to see how many C6 vettes with right front damage are totaled for lack of repair parts. Can't understand how GM gets away with that. A minor crunch to the right front and it's totaled.
