GM settles lawsuit
Hey everyone, I know many people were saying that the lawsuit over the LS7 valve issue would go nowhere because it was under the "old GM" before the bankruptcy. Some further information, I just saw this on the internet today
"In April, the U.S. Supreme Court let stand a lower court ruling that blocked GM's effort to scuttle many private lawsuits.
The Detroit automaker had argued that its 2009 bankruptcy reorganization excused it from addressing earlier defects."
On the surface, this sounds like the idea that GM could not be held liable for things that happened before the bankruptcy is false.
The result of this is that GM is settling the lawsuit over the ignition switches according to a Friday court filing.

This stems from a SCOTUS ruling in April on the GM defective ignition switch lawsuits. Part of the problem with the LS7 case is there are not enough people (lawyers, judges, and even GM decision makers etc.) who even understand what the real issue is. Hopefully, they make right on the 2015/16 LT4's in the C6 Z06 & CTS-V's
