Default Is there a trick to just search Z06 posts?

I don't want all results, just Z06. How do I do it.

TIA,
Mike

Look up above and you will see "SORT BY MODEL and select Z06

Sort Threads by Model: ZR1 | Z06 | Show All

That works great for reading the Z06 only posts, but I don't think that's the question the OP is asking. How I read it is if you click on the "Search Forums" feature, is there a way to only get Z06 posts. I tried using the Tag 'Z06' and it didn't work - the results show posts in the Z06 and the ZR1 sections.

Go to advanced search (https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums/search.php)

There is a box called "Find by Thread Prefix" where you can select Z06. Then select this forum on the right side.

Which then unfortunately excludes any relevant threads to your search which do not contain a prefix.

The prefix makes them "Z06" threads by definition. Isn't that what he's asking for?

If you go to google and enter "site:corvetteforum.com" before or after whatever you're searching for, it'll give better results than any search I've ever done on this site.

This is how I do it as well. Forum search engines leave a lot to be desired.

Not every thread originated with a prefix...so (to my understanding) if you sort/search by prefix, those without a prefix are omitted from your sort/search.

It looks like they added the prefix to _every_ old thread depending on the original forum. Only new posts without a prefix would be missed. But that's not really the search's fault.. it's the OP not classifying it according to this rather clunky model.

Right, I agree...which is why my thoughts from the beginning, were that a prefix should be a requirement, not an option for originating a post. Oh well...too late now I suppose.

When searching "all" of the threads or "Z06" threads the older Z06 threads don't appear. Seems like anything older than April 2017 isn't included in the search. A ton of information is out of reach at the moment. The merge idea is off the rails.

I cannot believe this issue isn't getting any traction. If you search all or just Z06, no Z06 posts show older than April 17. If you are looking for older information right now your option is using your eyes, page by page.

Two examples. Using basic search, search "damper", no prefix. The oldest Z06 post is May of 17, then the rest are ZR1 back to 2007.

Using the page numbers on the bottom go to page 51. There is a Z06 post by member "chrisM4", it's near the bottom of the page 08-29-2016. Using advanced search, by member, again no prefix, you get one post 05-19-17. If you use the prefix you still only get one result. There is now a ton of information that is out of reach.

Hint. I don't know the exact date of the merge, but my dumb *** would say that only the new posts after the merge are searchable, since I just tried "damper" with the ZR1 prefix and got only posts back to May 17 again. If you want older ZR1 posts you have to search all which tells me the Z06 older posts are not included in the search index.
