Default current Tire setup to new setup thoughts

I bought a 2008 Z06 that had the GY runflats up front that came with the car. car only has 6000 miles. The rears were changed by the previous owner to the Parelli 355/30/19. so front is 275 still and rear is non runflat 355.

me being picky I want to get matching sets. and I decided on the Michelin pilot super sports. question is do I go back to stock sizing to prevent issues or do I do what I wanted to do and that is put the 345 in the rear. and put 285 in front. would this be a good decision or is there a chance the fronts will rub or give issues. I figure going down to 345 and up to 285 in front is closer to stock ratio than I have now. no light or traction light have flickered with this crazy offset.

what do you guys think?

Stock sizes are great. If possible I would stick with them. That being said, depending on what you want out of the car, there are plenty of good tire sizes/options that can work.

Car stays in garage really. Lol but it's no track. Just for me cruising around town. It goes in for heads and cam to fix head issue and while they are their jist a mild cam. I love the look of the rear wide tires I have but after reading about tire ratios. I figured 275 and 355 are way off. And pilot ss make 345 biggest.

I mean price difference in pilot ss 275/325 or 285/345 is about 400 bucks so it's not a big deal. Just curious to get input from all you corvette enthusiasts

I found the Michelin PSS to have very little traction even at stock power. This was at stock 275 and 325 size. I doubt 345 is any different. I swapped to hankook RS4 285 up front and Kuhmo V720 ACR 355 rear and it was a major improvement.

MPSS are garbage. Tried them on both the Z and my Evo. For putting around town they are great however. They don't wear quickly and are fairly quiet.

Width is measured different from brand to brand. One companies 325 can be wider than anothers 345. So don't worry about width too much.

Width also doesn't change contact patch, so wider doesn't mean more tire on ground, or more straight line traction.

I would run stock size if I was you. Save the money, and enjoy them.

MPSS are a great choice in stock sizes. Lateral grip is great, tire is quiet, rides nice, good in the rain, and lasts a long time. Anyone that has one brand on the front and one in the rear is probably more concerned about straight line traction than cornering or high speed stability.

Or in this case, when those rear 355s were on close out for stupid cheap, probably just put them on because they are wide and were crazy low price to clearance them out.

Crap. Now I you guys got me confused. Read tons of tire size on here and you guys are saying keep stock. Well that's the reason I'm asking here instead of a store. And I read pss on here were a great tire. It was pss or those pretty common nitto ones. Forget the model. But alot of forums mention pilots and nitto

PSS are a great every day general performance tire. They are not end all track tires, but for what you want, a great choice.

I guess if I run stock size I can use money difference for brakes that don't squeek and dust. The single ceramic pads. Instead of going wider tires

I had Nitto NT05s in 295/35-18 and 335/30-19, now have my second set of PSS 275/35-18 and 325/30-19. The Nittos were a good upgrade from worn out OEM Goodyear EMT's, but the PSS had 1.12G grip in the same roundabouts the NT05s pulled only .93 and ,97 Gs. With 2-3 track days on each I got 8K miles on the NT05s and 23-26K miles on the PSS. I also have road circuit tires and drag radials, but the PSS have been the best street tire and they can do occasional road course work.Like all summer tires the grip level goes down below 50*, but you can still drive them like a normal car down to 20*. They are fine for driving in rain as long as you take into account how wide tires deal with puddles.

The PSS are the same height and section width as the Goodyear RFTs, but have more tread on the road than the Goodyears so the shoulders are more square on the PSS. The PSS in the OEM 18/19 sizes are not run-flats. Most of use that run them have an inflator, a plug kit and a can of Slime that we keep in the left rear storage compartment behind the left rear wheel under the hatch.

Ok cool. I love the look of the pirelli zeros 355/30zr19 that I have now on rear but want matching front and rears and closer ratio to stock. I'm just afraid if the pss325 don't fill out the wheel I'm gonna be bummed out. But here goes nothing guys. I'm going to order them

Default Moss 345 285 here

I have 285 fronts 345 rear, on second set. Traction? Meh... i only have headers, intake, and tune. Quiet, no fitment issues, the first set had the death wobble, but they were on the car when I got it. I got 20,000 from the first set and could have squeezed out 5,000 more probably from the fronts. *** end slides out in any turn with acceleration, but it corners great if you leave your foot off throttle. I can bark the tires in 3rd...

Stock sized MPSS here. Also have DRM shocks n 526 whp n 501 ft tq. I'm happy with the performance. Stock size tires don't fill out the fenders, but i knew that and was going for function over form. Hope these help give you an idea of what they look like:
