Default what tires do i need to not spin with HCI?

So i have some bridgestone potenzas that are 305 in the near and larger than stock in the front for closer to a square setup in the front. if i run the stock 325 widths is there any tire other than the r888r that would put the power down on public highways? i dont love the road noise with r888r from my friends car so would like to get something less loud when i drive 1-2 hours to further golf courses.

The NT05Rs are fine straight line but you will lose cornering grip. The R888Rs have good straight line and excellent cornering. Nitto NT01s have a good reputation, but are primarily for road courses.

How strong is your HCI car? If you have headers and a very mellow exhaust, you won't notice the hum from the R888Rs much.

so I’m not a big wheel and tire guy normally I would just order off of tire rack and never switch sizes.

would the extra 20 mm fit on my stock wheels? And with no spacers they won’t rub? What width in the front I know that doesn’t matter putting power down but handling wise do you do the stock front width or try and go wider as well? Thanks for the input.

also what psi do you run for the street do you run the 30 psi that’s on the door card or something else?

I've got a h/c/I that makes 550hp and 507tq and I have two sets of OEM wheels. For streets I run stock size Michelin Pilot 4s. They are great on the streets and can hook in 1st gear if the weather is above 60 degrees. Rolling in 2nd gear at 40mph on the streets hooks surprisingly well if the temp is above 50 degrees. My other tires on a set of OEM wheels are the toyo r888r, stock size up front and 345/30/19 on the backs. They are noisy but I only put them on when I head to the track.

The rear NT05R's P345/30R19 fit the Z06 OEM wheels perfectly, no spacers, no rubbing, no problems. In the front im running the NT05's 275/35/18. I run 30 PSI in all 4, if I go to the track obviously i'll lower the rears down some.

I’m honestly surprised there are people saying the NT05Rs work well for a H/C/I car. I’m cam only making 555rwhp and 480rwtq (Mustang dyno) and would blow the tires off in 1st and sometimes 2nd with 345 NT05Rs at 28ish PSI rolling into the throttle. Not calling BS on anyone at all that says they hook, I just didn’t have good luck with them at all.

I don't know man, mine work very well. Once I'm rolling I'm hooked pretty dam good with them. I am in Florida and its mostly hot, maybe that has something to do with it?

Could be! I’m in Ohio but even had issues mid summer. I really wish I could roll around with my 315 17” Hoosiers all the time. Those things stick like glue!

I use MT ET SS for 1/2 mile trap speed events in the OEM 19" size and they work fine for that. At 30 PSI, the get squirelly at 140 MPH. At 24 psi they are OK up to around 160. I would not run them in higher speed events. My R888Rs worked fine at 1 and 1.5 mile events although if not on a warm day and no warming of the tires they can spin in 1st gear, hook on the 1-2 shift and thereafter. That was at 4600' DA so I lose perhaps 12% for my SAE Smoothing 5 593/513 rwhp/tq.

I have the 345 NT05R and been 10.77 sec in the heat, and 7.10 & 7.13 60-130 on the street on stock Z wheels.

So, they will work in my car at 570 whp.

540rwhp, PS4S hooks well when its over 60 or you get heat in them. 1st usually hooks, 2nd always hooks or hazes the tires up to 90mph...
