Default Monster LT1-S Clutch. INSTALLED

Well everyone I finally got my car rolling again and got the new Monster LT1-S clutch installed. Heres a list of parts used

Monster LT1-S Clutch w/28lb flywheel
Monster Billet Bearing Support
New GM Slave Cylinder
New revised GM Master Cylinder
Katech Remote Bleeder
NEW OEM Starter Heat wrapped
Redline D4 fluid in the Tranny
GM Diff fluid
Motul DOT 5.1 Brake fluid for Clutch and Brakes

I have to say I only have about 15 miles on it so far. The pedal feels how it should have from the factory now. I also have my spring removed from the clutch pedal and the pedal effort is very very reasonable. No complaints there. It's taking a little bit of a relearn as it grabs a bit more with what seems like a little less pedal travel than stock. It can be slipped no problem. I'm also glad I didnt go with the Tick Master w 7/8 bore as I feel it would have been too stiff and the clutch engagement window too small, but thats only my guess without actually having the Tick MC. I will drive it and break it in and let you all know how it's working out for me once I put 500-1000 miles on it(may take a while), but so far I am very happy with it.

I had that clutch in mine. for some unknown reason some have a VERY stiff pedal with everything done as above. Mine did, where as some others LT1-S clutches felt close to stock. I dont know why and neither did Monster. I am not the only one, just do a search for this clutch on this forum and see for yourself.

OP I am glad your is as advertised.

Yes everything came out great. The only thing I can think of causing the clutch pedal effort to be increased anymore than normal would be the use of a 7/8 bore Tick MC or the slave not sliding smoothly.

You'll really enjoy the clutch. It's a great OEM level upgrade from the LS7 clutch.

Just out of curiosity, what does that clutch set up weigh with FW, clutch and slave cyl? It looks massive.

I agree, mine drives incredible. It's what the LS7 clutch "should have" been. GM was very wise to install them in the C7.

Too easy. 700 RWHP TWIN. I don't think there is one single clutch that 1 person has ever not had an issue with. You just gotta go with your gut and wallet I guess.

The LT1 twin disk comes stock in C7s. I'm sure some minor diff but more or less the same clutch.

So Monster just modifies it for the C6? Not in the loop lately with the latest clutch talk.

It's an OEM clutch with a custom flywheel to fit the LS motors.

Installed my clutch yesterday. Pedal is a tad firmer than stock but it feels like it grabs much harder. Still able to slip the clutch. I went with the heavier of the 2 flywheels and it's 1-3lbs lighter than the OEM single disc setup. Overall, I'm very happy. Now to see how long it will last and if it can take some abuse from dig racing.

Yes they are organic discs. The clutch and pressure plate on the LT1-S are 100% OE. The adapter flywheel is the only part that is custom.
